I understand the 'Pickup Artist' segment and its appeal to guys. I didn't mind listening to it and learning new things about an unknown world. What worries me is that the segment is going to be on every single show. I think for a part you're alienating your female audience. I personally do not want to listen to a guy talk about his 'conquests' and how he picks up women every episode. I'm sure he's a wonderful guy, I respect him and all that, and I don't mean to speak for all women, but I do know that my co-worker and I said that we would probably fast forward through this segment in all future episodes. I love you guys, and having this won't make me stop listening to you, but I just had to say my piece.

I'd have to agree with the OP. I was introduced to your show about a year ago through my husband's obsession with Lost and have really enjoyed the jayandjack-verse myself. The "pickup artist," segment was a real turn-off (sorry for the pun). I've heard about the "seduction community," before and I have to say that after listening to the Hybrid talk about it more, the whole thing feels sleezy.
Just thought you'd want another female listener perspective. I'm definitely not going to stop listening but I will be skipping this segment permanently.

If you think thats sleezy i'd hate to see what you think of things that I find sleezy

To me it sounded as if every word coming out of the "Hybrid's" mouth was part of script. I don't know him personally, so maybe he's a great guy, but I just found his presentation and his analysis of "what women want" a little offensive. I'm not against building self-confidence, but honestly I don't think that's what the "seduction method," is about. I've seen guys try to use it in public and I've had it tried out on me. IMO it comes of as deceptive and dishonest. I'm just not into it. Maybe Cliff will bring a different take on the whole thing, but after this first episode I'm not digging the concept.

It's hard for men to talk to women. I don't know if women know that. I think that the segment is about someone gaining confidence, and he said himself that he is looking for a relationship, not just some "conquest."

I shouldn't of used the word conquests, and I agree that the segment did promote confidence. All I am trying to say is that its about men's confidence. The whole segment is geared towards men. Which is fine in moderation. But I think that having a segment only for men every single episode is alienating the female audience. Its just my personal opinion, and I will love Jay and Jack no matter what. =)

I loved it, but I'm a guy. I guess my opinion doesn't matter.

Exalt-a-DivorcedIndian for making me laugh with the above statement.
Well Jana, I was just thinking that this thread was mainly for female's to protest this segment. A guy's opinion wouldn't matter.
