Wow, I think I actually have to do it old school and abstain. I loved Superman and would have voted for him HANDS DOWN until Jay made me watch all the Batman movies in a row (I had only seen the Clooney one) and now I can't decide... (Completely based from watching the movies and TV shows (Smallville included)) I think Batman had the better villains, but Superman has the cooler story lines. Yeah, I vote for whatever the 3rd party is  |

Batman, duh. He's like crazy cool, who wouldnt wanna drive the batmobile. plus batman movies are waaay better.

I'd like to vote for Darkwing Duck... He rocks! Got a figurine of him on my desk at work! ... that & Hellboy, but then I worked on the animated version so that pick is biased...
but the closest to him would be Batman.
Sure Superman's kinda cute... but he's just lucky he was born with powers. Without the powers, he's just dorky Clark Kent. A nice guy sure, but Lois would never had looked at him...
Batman on the other hand, not only overcame his hatred of the guy who killed his parents, but he uses his money for good. Not just as the Batman, but as Bruce Wane (I'm spelling that wrong I bet...) he donates money to charities & does lots of research for medical & general technology! He adopted a kid... Able to kick butt without any extra help. Representing mankind!

Batman, no contest. He has to work harder because he has no superpowers. While yes, he inherited gobs of money, he uses it for good, and he works during the day on all his scientific and philanthropic endeavors. He is older, so fighting takes much more out of him, yet he still suits up when the Bat signal calls. He helps Alfred design all his cool gadgets, proving his intelligence. He trains Robin and Batgirl, thus ensuring Gotham's future safety and passing along the craft of crime fighting to the next generation. And we all know how worried Jack is about the future of our declining world. Batman is such a complex character that in recent history alone four actors in five movies have played him, and he still remains shrouded in mystery. Also, Batman doesn't profit from his work. He actually loses money due to his cave, gadgets, etc, and he pays for the damage he causes. Clark Kent covers stories about Superman for his job, for which he gets paid. Clark's biggest worries are getting discovered and not being man enough to ask Lois out. While, yes, he tragically lost his parents as an infant, he was raised by loving surrogates on a farm! Batman is daily affected by post-traumatic stress, a deep sense of guilt, and the need for vengeance. And yet, despite crushing loses, he still manages to get out of bed, fight crime, and be successful with women.  Finally, Batman is hotter. Batsuit. Enough said. |

Better character: Batman
Better superhero: superman
I think in the podcast the vs. question was who is the better super hero. And I would say superman because batman (to me) is more of an ordinary guy out for revenge (initially). Thats not very hero-like. Superman has powers and does the hero thing constanly.
But hands down Batman is way cooler than Superman.

DUDE! No stinkin way! Superman is SO SO SO much better than Batman! Though I admit, the Batman movies are WAY better than any Superman ones I've seen. But Superman is a better superhero. First off. I like him BECAUSE he has powers. Batman is just a pretender. He invented all that stuff. Another reason Superman is better: because he has a weakness. kryptonite. Batman doesn't have a weakness, cause his powers aren't real! Superman still saves the world, even with his weakness. Plus, Superman is way cuter than Batman  But even if Superman was ugly, I'd still vote for him. |

superman is too conseeded and i like batman's belt and cape more.
