I can't believe Jay picked Full House again I told him not to, but he started whining about how much "Full House" just brings back memories for him, so I let him dig his own grave.

Jay, you do realize you said the song "Misty Mountain Hop" but sang the lyrics to "Ramble On". That's got to be embarrassing. ;D

This was a really hard decision for me and had to think about it most of the day, but sorry Jay, I'm gonna go with Jack. I'm sure you'll end up pulling out the win with all the younger more popular bands of today, but Jack just picked better bands that have held up over the course of time. You almost one me over with Pink Floyd and Radiohead, but you just picked one too many newer bands. Jack, No "Crosby, Stills & Nash/Young?" or "The Band" ?

Jay, for the win this week. Other great bands I would put on my list: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Oasis, The Cure...

heh, I totally went...hey that's Ramble On... But it is the "Ramblecast" so it's appropriate no matter what.... Also the Kinks were playing when you were talking about Van Halen. Just Sayin! man...I'm on the fence here again! Although I actually knew and agreed with more choices overall than the last "Vs." There's no way I can pick even if I just went for the number one choices.... Both kind of balance as personal favorite bands, although I think the Beatles have more influence than Led Zeppelin on all genres of popular music. Their innovations have been integrated completely into the way a lot of music is made now that we can't even tell.* Though the same totally goes for Led Zeppelin's work, and their vast expanse of musical landscapes, I think their influence tends to stay in the Rock genre. In fact I'd say they were influenced by the Beatles as well because the Beatles laid the groundwork. BUT, if I was going to pick a whole album to listen to and had to choose between the 2 on a given day, I'd say Zep has more albums with songs I'd listen to consecutively, so it would be personal favorite. See what I mean, here? I'm not even going into any of the other choices, yet! *(not a spoiler obviously, but just my own ramble) I don't know why I love this bit of trivia---maybe because of the profound simplicity of it: "Eleanor Rigby" not only used a strings section which was pretty unheard of but it was the first song in popular music culture to start off with the "chorus"---up until then there was A,B, A, B, C, A, B....but that song broke with B,A...(I don't think there is a C...no taking it to the bridge for Eleanor)-- (I'm amending...listening to Eleanor Rigby right now, I may have my trivia wrong or maybe my idea of what is a verse and a chorus is more malleable. It might start off with a C....Because "All the lonely people" sounds like the B, and the "Eleanor Rigby" verses are the A...And "Ahh look at all the lonely people!" is it's own thing! Though it's incorporated into the B at the end....OK I'll shut up now.)

Cedemis: +1 for Pearl Jam! They would've been in my top 10 too Carcino: It's a Kinks cover by Van Halen but good catch, I didn't even realize it was til you said that!

Jay, I couldn't have cared who else was on your list, but the fact that you included Radiohead gives you the automatic win in my book.
Plus Muse, Mars Volta, Zeppelin, and Floyd give you great credibility, although Jack's #1 is better than yours IMO.
JAY FTW!

Tough choice. But in the end my vote goes to Jack, because Queen has been my first favorite band and will always be one of my favorite bands.
