Once again Jay, I am sorry to say my vote goes with Jack's choice. I find it hard to believe that I keep agreeing with him. I have to pick Star Wars. Based on my viewing of the movies, it's Star Wars. Maybe this is because I haven't seen any LOTR and only ever saw the original Star Wars movie. I know that may make me an outcast here, but I have to be honest.

No, they gimme nightmares I prefer starships to lightsabers though. I like pretty much every battle in Star Wars better than the lightsaber ones.  |

Lord of the Rings pales in comparrison to Star Wars, the soundtrack was so mediocre. The movies were so poorly editied together(ex. Characters stories just standing still in TTT, with no character development), and the Special Effects of ILM are above and beyond Weta. And Star Wars has a much greater expanded universe than LOTR.

LOTR all the way  I used to be a big SW fan but it's nothing compared to LOTR. ;D I just realized I still haven't watched all the extended dvd editions (every one of which I own, no surprise there ;D) in a row.. I should do that sometime ;D 11 hours of LOTR should be an interesting experience ;D I really liked the LOTR soundtrack! Though I won't deny I would have preferred John Williams over Howard Shore Episodes 2 and 3 of SW were horrible, i couldn't watch more than 15 minutes of 3.. I love lightsabers ;D |

I liked episode 1, but it might have something to do with the fact that i've only seen it once and I was 9 then Episode 2 was just very boring, and 3 I only watched 15 minutes of ;D The original trilogy I loved as a kid |

I really enjoyed Lord of the Rings, but Star Wars goes back to my childhood, and now my kids like Star Wars. So I have to vote Star Wars.
