Oh, and I thought of something else. The movie "the lost boys" is about vampires.

Hey, this is my first post so don't be mad at me if I mess up. My brother and I have this theory about Mr. Eko. It is a bit far fetched but here goes. Mr. Eko is a vampire/priest Vampires in LOST? Seems pretty "out there" but it's an interesting theory nonetheless.

That does seem like a way-out-there theory, but who knows? I'm still uncertain Mr. Eko was on the plane though, despite him being right there at the crash. Until I see him actually on the plane, I have my doubts. And what IS up with that stick of his?

Yeah, I still think Eko was probably on the drug dealer's plane.
The blood in his mouth is an interesting thing though. When I first saw it, I figured he must be such a ferocious guy that he was biting when he fought them. But it still does seem a bit strange.
I am still not convinced he called himself Mister Eko. It sounded a bit different to that and Sawyer just said 'Mr Eko? What is that like Mr Ed?'

To go along with the IMPOSTER idea, could Mister Eko be a pseudonym like in Reservoir Dogs? Like Mister Brown or Mister Blonde? If that were the case then the numerical translation to IMPOSTER would fit.

I think That Mr. Eko is one of those nigerian drug dealers that crashed a while back ago(everyone remember?). Anyways, I think that he knows way too much about the island to be from the plane. We havn't seen him one the plane either. Even more suspicous! He could have seen the plane crash from the island and came with them because he was lonely or something. ;)Going back to the imposter thing, eh? ;DI made that up, I'm annie's Daughter, by the way. I don't think Echo has anything to do with the drug trade, I think thats way to close to racism for the lost writers. I think Echo is a preacher, because of the Bible, the 40 days thing, and when he was looking for michael he kept saying he would pray for them. But I also think he has a dark past that led him to being a preacher, hence his physical build and instincts. Maybe he was part of an african malitia a long time ago.

I couldn't agree with you more, Cody. I'm convinced that Eko is a priest... he knew the Josiah story; he talked about prayer; all the things you said in your post. I'm not so sure he has a "dark past," but I'm betting he's the only one of our known castaways who has seen the "Dharma" Initiative before coming to the island. The way he examines the logos and his reaction to the film all point to him knowing more than he's letting on.

NAV-Thats intresting, now that I think about it he does seem to always have a weird "I know something you don't" look about him. He didn't seem to shocked by the hatches or the others, or the film, but then again, that seems to be his personality trait. It still doesn't explain his build, his instincts, or his navigation knowlege......But we still have no idea why a regional manager for a box company knows so much about nature either. This show has so many mysteries.

Does anybody remember the guy (I cant remember his name at the moment) who played eko was the police dude in Ace Ventura When Nature calls. He was a bad guy there so maybe that is his troubled past. Trying to destroy two african tribes so that dude could get all of the bat droppings.

Jay, I'm shocked that you don't have the name Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje committed to memory yet. Such an easy name!
