I've never heard of an agnostic before. what do they believe? They don't know. Atheists firmly believe there is not a god or higher power. It is as much of a belief (or faith) as those who believe there is one. Agnostics don't know for sure. They question the validity of any religion but don't firmly believe there isn't a god either. They are the true middle of the road when it comes to faith. I was agnostic for a very long time (as you could most likely guess from my previous post about my path to faith) but slowly found what I do believe in. Some find "God", some find Atheism, some find "The Goddess", and so on... but there are those that remain Agnostic forever (although it tends to be rare).

I am an atheist and could never be friends with someone who believes in rubbish. Yay for elitist atheists.

I am an atheist and could never be friends with someone who believes in rubbish. I can't believe you just posted this! I guess you better leave the boards! Most of us are some sort of faith, you can't be firends or talk with us. I would assume we are better off

Alright, everyone chill off. I'm hoping ol' evilgus is kidding around. He's a pretty dry guy, if memory serves.
But for future reference, let's keep inflamatory comments to a minimum.

Yeah, Emma put it pretty well. But hey, that's the risk you always take with religion topics. There's always someone bound to disagree.
But where've you been Emma? I haven't seen you in a couple weeks, dude.

True, true. Tomorrow's my last day for exams, and then I'm home free. I haven't been studying anywhere near as much as I should've, but I think I managed A's and B's in all of my exams so far.

So this is where all those 'Smites' came from.... Sorry for any offence caused, I guess it's a different world over in the States. It was just a jokey off-hand comment. Obviously 'Lost' in translation. Please don't put a jihad on me or ex-communicate me

Hehe, it's true. Sarcasm is so hard to translate through text. I just naturally assumed no one would be so stupid as to post that sincerely. ;D

Wow, it is very interesting to hear a very diversified list of religions. I am a Roman Catholic myself, but I have lived in Baptist-Belt USA most of my life and I have been surrounded by Baptists and Methodists. In fact, the town of 25,000 that I grew up in (in central Arkansas) had like 8 baptist churches, 4 or 5 methodist churches and only 1 catholic church. I've never actually met a Quaker, so that is kind of interesting.

I grew up Lutheran but the church I went to my whole life switched from Lutheran to nondenominational and so I went Roman Catholic.
I believe that every religion has an interesting and unique view of God and so I love to hear what others believe even if I might not agree with all of it. Freedom rocks!
