I absolutely LOVE rent. but the movie was pretty bad in my opinion. probably because i saw the play first and it just blows it out of the water, and they cut out about half the songs. very good list tho, and nice idea for a thread 1. Phantom of the Opera 2. Elf 3. Independence day 4. Grumpier Old Men (quite possibly the funniest movie ever) 5. 8 Mile

1. Almost Famous - Peter Frampton helped out with this and lives about 40 minutes from me! Really. 2. LOTR - all of them, for lots of reasons 3. Serenity - like someone wise once said, watch Firefly first, then this. 4. In America - Irish family comes to America in the early 80's - smart and not too sappy. 5. Brick - one of my favorites of last year - co-stars Emily de Ravin and Eden (don't remember the actresses name) from "Heroes!"
Rent any of these - trust me!

By far, the LOTR trilogy. If i'd have to pick just one.. Well, that'd be kinda hard. I know it'd be either the Fellowship of the Ring or the Return of the King, because I enjoyed the Two Towers clearly the least of the three.. But I like to think of the three as a whole.
Another great movie that definetely emotionally affected me way more than any other one would be Requiem for a Dream. Watch and see.
Also, Hotel Rwanda would definetely make it to my top5 favorite movies

I saw Spirted Away, that was such a wierd movie...
I REALLY didn't like POTC 2, if you havn't seen it don't bother, there are many other better movies out there.
My favorite is definatly the LOTR trilogy. Some other favorites are...
1. Batman begins 2. Spider-man 2 3. That thing you do! (great movie!) 4. Flight plan 5. Charlie and the chocolate factory (new one) 6. Best in show 7. the Shrek movies
I know there are many more, but that's all I can think of right now.

There is more, and this list was so hard to make HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Sorry I had to laugh at your movie list. Because you have all these adult movies on there and than you have Lilo and Stich. I think it's an awesome movie too. But it is the most bizarre one to be in that list. And I also recommend Little Miss Sunshine, I think it just came out on DVD, fabulous movie. And also Almost Famous, excellent movie.
