Another of my favorite movies that I forgot about is Little Miss Sunshine.
And I think I might be the only person here that doesn't like LOTR.

Well in the case of Monte Cristo, I love the movie and I love the book each in it's own way. The movie isn't really close at all to the book but it still covers the same theme of revenge and redemption. It's the same way I can enjoy both GWTW as a movie and as a book even though the movie leaves huge parts of the book out.

I know i already said mine but i just got done watching 12 monkeys. man that in my belief is the best movie ever it's somewhat weird and confusing but if you really pay attention to it and not so much focus on brad pitt's character or the "ideas of what he might do" you can get a really great kick out of it. It won't be enjoyed or may not have been enjoyed by some people but if u pay attention and like some twists u'll really really really like this movie

Here's some of my fav's: The Princess Bride definitely, it's just so sweet. The Producers (2005 version) War of the Worlds (the 50's one) The Count of Monte Cristo The Scarlet Pimpernel (1940's with Lesile Howard-the guy who plays Ashley in GWTW) I loved the Scarlet Pimpernel books! I have seen several different movie versions as well as an English series (I believe). Loved it.

I'd have to say my very favorite of all time would be Gone With the Wind, it's a classic, but I also loved Sixth Sense, that was an awesome movie. I also really enjoyed the Rocky movies and I really want to see the latest and final one that's now playing.

Wow addicted2lost815, another person who's read SP and seen the movies! That's awesome! I had to give the book to my sis and a friend just so someone knew what I was talking about. ;D
I saw the English series too, it wasn't bad but not nearly as good as the BW version.

Ya know, I may just be the only person in the universe to HATE the Goonies. For me, not only was it not funny, but it was annoying too. BUt on another note, I do love LOTR and Count of MC. Jim Caviezel is probably one of the most underrated actors out there right now.
