I liked the premiere. Sets up for a great final season.
So - what do you all think? Kara = 5th Cylon or no? I'm thinking they are trying to push people that way with the similarity between the music the four heard and the pulling Starbuck feels towards "earth".
I'm thinking that is too obvious and the final cylon will be someone else we don't suspect.

JLSK-I agree that they are pushing too hard for Kara being the 5th Cylon but maybe its a double trick...make it so obvious that it ends up being true. You know sort of like Micheal being Ben's inside man?

could Roslin be the 5th ? I mean in order to control the Battlestars route, it would be important to have the people surrounding its commander "in the pocket". I`m still happy with my "Matrix-alike replay" theory of the battlestar trek re-enactment by the cylons to find their true path to the one god. Apropos God. Passion of Balthar or what ? Moore did push it a little over the top in my opinion and Caprica wasnt even fully involed there (gained a lil miss helfer ,did we? . Angel of God´s, well, we´ll see I guess. I´d like to see Gaeta getting back into action isntead of that "Cylon lover" oLO

I don't think that Roslin is the 5th just cause she is the "dying leader" and needed Cylon blood of the hybrid to get rid of the cancer. I did think about it at some point but not at this point.

I think it's Tom Zarek, it just makes sense. Of course my really, really way out theory is the return of "Billy" ;D ;D

"Taken from EZTV/ respective -TV guide) Battlestar Galactica roared back into action Friday night, as the Season 4 premiere delivered more than 2.1 million total viewers — 19 percent increase over the January 2007 bow of Season 3.5. BSG also emerged as cable's No. 1 prime-time program in Sci Fi Channel's key 25-54 demo. Numbers-wise, Battlestar also proved once and for all its appeal to womenfolk, scoring its best-ever female audience when 606,000 women 18-49 tuned in. me, not surprised! oLO

BSG is, in my opinion, the best show on television. This episode just further proved that. It was great.
I love the direction they're taking certain characters in, Kara and Baltar especially. I love this new "redeemed" Baltar.

A friend of mine had a Baltar theory that I really didn't believe until I saw the Season 4 premier.
His theory was that when the Galactica crew finally finds Earth it will be a primative Earth around the year 0. That when the original colonist settled they built things like the "Pyramids" and many other great things, but some how technology was lost. So, when the Galactica crew finds Earth something will happen to lose their technology, but will utimately set Earth history towards "western civilization". Now, what got me thinking about this theory again, was what he said about Baltar's fate. He said that Baltar would become Jesus Christ and become worshiped as a God on the new Earth. Now, this theory is a bit much, but from the already put forward God like worship of Baltar, for now it seem logical.

Nick, that theory could be dtaken directly from the original series backstory. And taking in account that the/a "saviour" figure is being credited in human(terran) writings 3 millennia before Christ(B.C.), this arch could indeed work rather well. Perhaps there would be some kind of barrier, preventing more complex technology (Cylons) from reaching Earths Milkyway (Starbucks brand new viper is a mark 1 model, much like galactica) .
And just one thought, what if the 5th model would be Zach Adarma ? Cheers oLO

well this last one was pretty depressing. Given that this is the final season I was surprised they didn't move the plot along more (well the cylon plot moved well)
