From what I've heard this show is so good, I need to see it. My aunt's BF has the DVDs from the beginning and I think I am going to start watching during the Lost hiatus. I don't think it can wait until Lost wraps.

it was pretty good - I like how they kinda reset everything while at the same time all the characters are way more developed. Starbuck, etc.
Yeah - this last one was a great episode.

You have it right, Matt. you gotta watch it from the beginning. A great way to spend the Lost hiatus. The outer space action is terrific, solid acting, strong storylines...For a show not on one of the major networks or HBO, it's the class. Just don't mistake it for the original.

Yeah. Its the only thing Sci Fi has going for it - and it could use all it can get. Didn't it start out as a mini series, and now its a regular drama series?

I have to watch this show. Everywhere I go , people are talking about it. Today I heard that (Lord forbid) it is better than Lost. I also heard that some are getting tired of the darkness of it. Maybe I will buy the season one DVDs. Do you need to watch the mini-series first?

Yeah. Its the only thing Sci Fi has going for it - and it could use all it can get. Didn't it start out as a mini series, and now its a regular drama series? Yeah, it started as a 3-hour miniseries that basically served as the pilot for the show and now, of course, it's a regular seasonal show. And I don't think I'd say that it's better than Lost. But they're pretty much equal in my mind. It's a great show and anyone that hasn't seen it is missing out for sure!

SECOND BEST SHOW EVER, I only say second because of LOST though I do have to admit, sometimes the Battlestar Galactica episodes are better than the LOST ones!! Exalt to Matt for being a BG fan +15!!

I love BG. I mean it. I love the characters and actors, story, sets, everything. However, to me it is bit too blatantly political. Now I know some people like that sort of thing however with Star Trek DS9 the writing on the political front was a bit more subtle and I enjoy that a little more.

giovanni: I seriously think Star trek has been equally political, they´d simply had left behind certain problems already.
THe whole society issue on the BSG "trek" is a fundamental part of the series to me. The human way vs the Cylon way, displayed on many levels (emotionala social, political, even their perspectives on death.
I wouldnt wanna miss it

To me its LOST And heroes comes at a close second...oaky fine...BSG, heroes and the Office can all be my second favorite...nah Office is my second lol.
Wow, I am really getting into this.
The main problem I have with star Trak is that it sort of made a sterotype for all scifi. One of the main reasons a show called Babylon 5 did not blast to the top was because it was not "scifi". Why was firefly cancaled? Because it was not "scifi". Certain shows are victems of the Trak ideal. Some people think that scifi has to have alians, has to have really ugly latix uniforms, can't tell a sotry, the ship has to be the strongest in the univsverse. I don't know, Trak never did it for me. The ones I saw were Enterprise, and its problems were that it just never tooka risk. The Other Trk I saw a bit of was the orginal, whcih i just don't like. Next generation looked kind of weird. I heard deep space nine was alright.
Anyway, BSG is my favorite scifi show on now. Even though, myf irst loves for space dramas will always be babylon 5 and firefly...take my love take my land take me where I can not stand lalalalalal you can't take the skies from me lol
