The characters on BG are so complex, they are so much deeper than those on alot of other shows, where everything is so predictable. The relationships they have with each other, like Kara and Lee, and Adama and Roslin, are very entertaining to watch.

Lost and BSG are on the same level for me. Vote Laura Roslin! :-D
I like it because it deals with a lot of issues prominent in society. And like Lost, they don't sacrifice plot for good characterization. They have both! I missed last weeks episode but I read the recap on wikipedia, and now it's killing me...

The boxing episode was great even though I don't know what's going on. Anybody got season one DVDs that want to lend? I have Firefly to swap.

Ahhhhh...Firefly....I got into that after it went off the air and after Serenity came out. Love that show. I wonder if it was released now in the midst of all these supernatural/scifi shows on TV, if it would fare any better? Here is good advice. Don't go up to a fan of the old BG series and say Starbuck slept with Apollo They just won't understand.

I have a few questions. What happened to the Pegasus? Wasn't Apollo the admiral of that ship? Why/for what reason was Apollo fat? What is CAG? What was the wall with all the pics? A memorial? Are those people dead? Is Kat dead? I hope she is. Why was Lucy Lawless killing herself?

Apollo was the commander of the Pegasus, Adama is Admiral. Apollo got fat to show that he needed a fight(not really sure on that one though) The CAG is the commander of the air group. The wall is a memorial for family and friends of the crew who have died or are missing from the attacks. Kat is dead, unless she's a Cylon(hey, you never know ) D'Anna is killing herself to try and discover the other 5 cylon models.

Kat is dead, unless she's a Cylon(hey, you never know ) D'Anna is killing herself to try and discover the other 5 cylon models. First off, it seems like you have missed a lot of this season so far if you are asking these questions. That's really too bad, this has been the best this show has been (and that's saying a lot). You should try and catch up and see the ones you missed. Much good stuff in there. Also not sure why the spoiler tags... I am really one who doesn't believe in them if the shows have already aired. I know people in other countries haven't had it aired there yet, but if that was the case EVERYTHING about EVERY show should be in spoiler tags because nothing is aired all over the world at the same time (if ever). If you don't want to read about the show up to the aired episodes, don't read a thread that discusses the show... but since I seem to be in the minority on this one for some reason, I will put my reply in spoiler tags. Most of the above answers are adequate, but there are some additions, changes or corrections I need to make.
What happened to the Pegasus? - It was not only destroyed but willingly sacrificed to save the Galactica and her crew during that battle. Wasn't Apollo the admiral of that ship? - Admiral is a rank of leadership over more than one ship, as in the fleet, on this show. There is currently only one Admiral. Why/for what reason was Apollo fat? - He was fat because over the course of the year at New Caprica he got lazy and lax in his duties. As often happens to people who end up in cushy jobs. Are those people dead? Is Kat dead? I hope she is. - Nothing to add, but I really hope she's not a cylon. Just let her be dead. Why was Lucy Lawless killing herself? - She glimpsed something between the death and rebirth (something most of us has seen before, even if we didn't catch it) and wants to know more about it. There is some kind of visions or existence that she has become obsessed with learning about and figuring out. Baltar has seen it too (last season), in his "dreams" about the baby and what he needed to do.

I´m getting more and more certain about Balthar being not only 1 of the 5, but THE model behind the attack idea in the first place- kind of the mother cylon. And how boring must ship duty be on a basestar, if the best thing they can do is fracking around with a "simple"(s.a.) human oLO
