Pegasus: funny how Michelle Forbes had yet another appearence as the "tough b" she also portraits in prison break. I actually enjoyed the Pegasus action way more than the rather lame New Caprica situation.

In one of the last eps I saw, ... the warden who came in Sawyer's last ep on Lost was also the Black Market thug in that episode. He always tends to play the bad guy...
It also seemed kinda wierd to introduce Lee's former love intrest before the attacks right after Cain was killed and then suggest he go after Dee. Starbuck is so wierd, but I love her character. I thought she was going to pound Kat after she killed Scar. ;D

Really? Awesome
Wow, scifi really can lie. I was excited for Beltar's trial. Thats why at first I thought thet v guide was just being dumb, but it was really just about Helo. It was an alright epasode, but these guys are worse then ABC lol. I love helo, butg...ah
Las tnights epasode was not one of my favorites. It was good, but I watned more after such a great epasode like "A break from all your worries"

From listening to the commentary podcast it sounds like this show is weak because it was originally going to be a set up for a string of sub-plots leading up to the Trial of Baltar towards the end of the season. They dropped the sub-plot as they worked on some later episodes, but this one was already filmed. So they had to come back and edit out or move around (and even reshoot) scenes to make this work without the dropped sub-plots.
Originally the whole story about the tribal differences between the colonies (this one in particular) was going to feed into it. Apparently during the "missing" year on New Caprica they were involved in a conflict that Baltar was directly involved in but they refused to help out the others because of their beliefs and separatist attitudes. This was going to slowly revealed and expanded on, but now it's not even going to show up as more than a racial hatred (like this episode dealt with).
At least it won't show up this season, they have dropped stuff before that showed up later in the run of the show. This is why I keep listening to the commentaries. Ron drops a lot of lost, behind the scenes, and alternate information. I am amazed at the growth and progression of some of the episodes. Some of them change so much from what he had them planned at to what was filmed and to what was edited. I would love to have the lost guys do this... but it could ruin some of the mystery of Lost.

Should we begin a guess list of the final five ? And/ or theories on the "story mainarch". I´ve a couple of guesses and a crackpot theory too;D oLO

RDM seems to have a very "open door" policy as far as the fans go. This is much different to what we're used to with the Official Lost Podcast where they spend 30 minutes dodging questions. What a big waste of time. <--- See avatar to left.
Rewatched Woman, King again. I expected more for "Sweeps".

All right. A warning to all who arent up to date. This spoilertag tackles most recent issues: The overall idea of a period of an armitage still stands behind this remake. The prior (70s series) war is similar to the "revolution-parts of the Animatrix" ,as men made machines fight back at their creators. Since I´m a big matrix fan I´ll formulate my theory in terms most are familiar with from the matrix:
There is a creator behind the main storyline, much like the "the architect" of the matrix VR world. The Cylon Race is in control of the whole plot. Certain protagonists were made to cause certain events within the overall story arch (thats why the chief felt drawn to the temple of 5, Sharon hooked up with Helo and Caprica is a Balthar liason; he is not a cylon, but she influences him according to her program).
I´m not sure about the final goal ,maybe it IS in fact finding a way to the only remaining human settlement (compare to last city Zion standing in the REAL matrixworld). They Cylons are very firm with the prophecies of Pythia ,so I assume they regard the religion as a kind of map to earth, much like Roslin( the chosen leader). Thats why the sagitarians are a vital part ,yet isolated from most of other colonists. Since religion is not exactly embedded with both the Adarmas, yet another liason is required. Sagitarian would be best. Dee is another potential Cylon (she matches the final 5 person standing at the right side in height and the white glow differs)
During the path the trek has to take ,decisions have to be made, that cannot be rendered or produced by the machines themselves, therefore they loosen the leash on the human caravane in order to let them snoop around a little on their own before following after.
Another potential Cylon is Mr. Gater, since he is acting right in the center of the leadship and usually coordinates and calculates all FTL jumps, what makes him a superb source for tracking the fleet. I tend to see this currently airing series as a kind of looping storyline, the cylons run, in order to find the key to earth. Certain elements are within their control and some have to unfold in a more deistic way, since cylons are unable to receive "god sent information".
Of course there ARE writers behind the plot( and no cylons) ,but as avandgardistic as this series is (peabody award) I could well imagine the writers to blur this reality distinction border while writing, to me that would be a plausible reason to renew a series and kind of re-iterate a familiar plot within a realm ,that hasnt exhausted the potential stories being told yet.
So ,thats the basic frame of my current crackpot theory and assumed-to-be cylons an their destinies. Curious to hear other ideas and comments Cheers and a good eve oLO

Awesome avatar, Steph. +119 I'd love to read your theory, olo, but I'm not caught up yet. And after reading this news: tv.ign.com/articles/763/763920p1.htmlI'd don't think I should really push my rush to watch Season 3. I'm really excited to see it, but that news make me have a greater respect for BSG fans and their patience all this time. From what I've seen the payoff is worth it.

If this week's is as bad as last week's, I don't know what I'll do. Looks like Callie and the Chief get trapped in an airlock and are rescued. Big deal. Another self-contained episode. I'm ready to move on with another big story arc.

Personally I liked the Helo themed episode, this past one was ehhh ok, but all the ones in the middle of the season are always like this, unfortunatly. Next week looks like another Chief centered epi, hopefully its better than the last one. I want them to go back to finding EARTH!!!

Dirty Hands was great. Glad to see they are getting back to the compelling political themes. The end with Seelix getting into pilot school, I got a little misty.

Me too, I thought this was one of the best episodes of the season. About next episode : I have heard on other BSG boards, though I dont know if its 100% true, that this is going to be Katee/Kara's last episode of the season. from the preview on scifi video.scifi.com/player.html?dlid=64703 it looks like she might get killed . I hope not, she is part of what makes the show amazing. I heard she might not die though too so I still have hope
