Well, it wasn't me, but I've been smited tons of times too. Don't worry. It happens way too much. I mean, I left 2 days ago, checked this morning, and I'd been taken down 15 karma.  |

Dude, chill out. Smiting is not a big deal. You probably did something to tick someone off.
The button is just there to even out the exalt button, which sadly is being used too much. But smiets don't mean anything. Nobody judges you on your amount of karma. Back when I first joined, most people had very little karma. The exalt button has been way overused lately, and I think people are starting to think it means something.

I did too, but when I was told, I realized that some of them were doing it too even when they told me it ticked them off. Kind of hypocritical. Got kind of annoying. Now I try not to notice my karma meter too much. (Great, from what I just said, my karma is leaving I'm willing to bet.)  |

The only times karma was given was when people posted good theories, or when they said things that really added to the conversation. Now karma is given away for every single little thing, and it's kind of abusing the whole system. giving every new member an exalt, and the whole "exalt-a-person above you" crap doesn't help at all. But hey, it's not affecting me, so whatever. |
