I do too. On Friday, I had 105 karma, now it's Tuesday, I only have 78. The number might decrease before you read this though. Could somebody give me some reasons? Please? Why would anyone wanna smite Pogs? If I find out who it was, I'll smite em every hour for a week  jk  |

not that I had been overly smited nor did I smite a lot. (usually do smite for stupid replies on serious topics) but I do think there is a bit of an inflation going on with the karmapoints, so I suppose we´ve had a kind of black friday or something. Q. Bingo. Karma points have gotten ridiculously high. And people are complaining about losing some. No offense, but why should any of you care what someone who has never met you thinks of you? I mean, I'm sure a lot of you people are nice, but still. I've never met you. You've never met me. If you hate me, fine. If you like me, fine. But karma means NOTHING. And so many people act like it's a big deal to lose some. |

I agree that karma means nothing... however a karma attack means something. I think anyway, since it seems it can be a sign of someone being upset with you.
But jeez, if you are upset with someone THAT MUCH, send them a PM and try to work out the issue. Coming to an agreement is far more constructive than anonymously shredding their ego. If I'm pleased with something some one said... one exalt. If I'm upset... one smite. No reason to go past that, because as useless as karma is, people do notice it, which gives it some arbitrary meaning.

I don't really care how much karma I have. Karma means nothing to me. But I guess if you get smote xD a lot, it could reflect badly on you, even if you haven't done anything.

Agreed. pogs has gotten a few smites from me, but nothing like whats happening to him now. thats messed up. as for karma itself...dude. come on. it's a number below your name. if someone smites you it isnt the end of the world. it doesn't mean that you have to start a thread everytime you get smited. if you take like 20 hits, then ok. but still, karma doesnt really mean that much to me at all. it is a nice thing to have so some people can get an idea of your reputation but still, i could live without it. and as to whoever is smiting me now: I DONT CARE. enjoy yourself if pressing that button makes you feel special. |

i agree that karma is unimportiant, but isnt it fun? I'm not saying it isn't, that's just how I feel about it. Sure I participate in those karma threads, i guess thats how people shake each others hands on a forum everyone is entitled to their own opinion. |
