A saw a new promo for the next episode while watching the penn state game, and it says that one survivor will die. So its not a foiler. I still want it to be Charlie.

Hell-o-o. A major character whose name isn't Sawyer? Well...his name ISN'T Sawyer. It's JAMES FORD.
And he's toast.

i think it is Jin because i think Pickett will go after Sun. Jin will get in the way and Pickett will kill Jin instead of Sun on accident.

Haha that made me laugh. The actors who are log-carrying guys have names? WAHHHH! Dammit - you're right! If Steve-no, that's Scott-Steve's-dead Dies, so does the worn-out Scott? No, that's Steve, Scott's Dead Joke that hasn't featured since early season 2.

Well, unlike most shows, I'd actually be upset if they killed almost any of the Survivors - except maybe Claire - but it can't be her - being (a) such an innocent and (b) possibly will be "revealed" as Jack's "sister". I didn't know it was to be an Eko flashback - which tends to imply it would be him (Shannon died in a Shannon flashback episode, Ana Lucia died in an Ana Lucia flashback) - but now I don't think it would be Eko for two reasons - (1) What I just said - makes it too obvious - as they're advertising one will be killed - so the natural assumption is whomever's flashback - will be the victim. (2) We just had an episode that mainly dealt with Locke saving Eko's life...only to kill him off 2 episodes later?
It shouldn't be Charlie - Boone said he and Claire would be OK for a while. So, same applies to Claire.
Sadly, it does seem to make Sayid the logical one to "go". He IS in the previews for this episode (why are people saying otherwise?). He hasn't been "the same" since Shannon's death. While there are intriguing connections based upon his backstories - they're not so integral as others (and look, they killed Libby - and there seemed to be a lot more to do with her due to the Hurley connection that we knew of before her death than there is currently with Sayid). The scenario of Sayid "sacrificing himself" - possibly for Sun/Jin, seems very plausible to me - and would also fit with Boone's words.
Mind you, Sayid's one of my favorite characters, so I don't want it to be true - and I'm hoping to be shocked and surprised (as in someone I never even thought of) - but my money's on Sayid being buried next to Shannon (at least figuratively).

Dsquared... I was thinking the EXACT thing that you wrote. You wrote it first... props to you. However, that said... my vote to die first is Sayid. I think it's his time. I LOVE him, but he's going to sacrifice himself for Jin and Sun. Reference Boone's comment in the Locke dream sequence... I think it's the closest hint we have of the bunch to who will die next.

Thanks for the props. But I'm rethinking that idea now. After re-reading Ausiello's website at TV Guide, he actually said that we don't have to worry about Sawyer. So I doubt now that he's toying with us. At this point, my money's on Eko.

You know... I didn't see Vincent in Locke's sweat-lodge trip... My money's on Vincent.

In my opinion, Sawyer will die. I just think that this is the kind of shock Ausiello was describing. If it isn't that, my second guess is Michael. Can't be Sawyer Ausiello said "Next week, a major character (as in a series regular) whose name is not Sawyer will join Boone, Shannon, Ana Lucia and Libby in the big island in the sky." I think it's going to be Eko, it's his flashback episode and if he is on Regis the next morning it is not a good sign. I don't think it'll be Charlie, a lot of people would stop watching the show if he died. His name isn't Sawyer, it's James Ford.

It can't be Charlie. Because in Locke's vision they weren't in danger yet and there still needs to be the love triangle. I'm sorry to say that I think it's Eko, I love his character. I say this because he was on the official lost podcast last week talking about character arcs and how it keeps Lost interesting. That it's great that he or any one of his compatriots could leave the show at any given moment. "tension never lets up, because you could be gone the next day" "you don't even know if you'll defeat that foe..."
