Just don't see that as much of a shock, though - the grief-stricken, combat-happy Sayid is practically begging to get killed; he lost much of what personality he had when Shannon died. If Claire, Sun, or another 'non-combatant' (or Aaron, as you suggest) were killed, it'd be much more of a gut punch.
On the other hand, he's one of the few Fusies whose flashbacks are pretty much complete, I think.

I got a funny feeling it's been discussed before. My crackpot hunch is: Mr Friendly.

That's what I thought of Jack, but after his flashback this season, there are a lot of possibilities and different routes to go. Plus, I think of it this way, Sayid as something to go back for in the outside world. Who doesn't? Still, I go for Sayid. Also, flawedprefect, Aussiello said it was a series regular. I don't know if he is.

I'm not guessing Sayid, because there is a lot of stuff connected with Nadia that still has to be explained. Just from a storytelling point of view, I think Ana Lucia, Boone, and Shannon had the lease amount of uncanny conincidences and connections to the other Losties. Sayid has two that we know of: Nadia, and Kelvin.
The only other character that died and had connections to the Others was Libby, but I'm guessing she's gonna keep popping up in future flashbacks in order to piece together her backstory.
Sun would be a huge loss; Jin would be a surprise for me... but my hunch is we're gonna have an "other" death this time...

Forgot about Kelvin.
Maybe Pickett, and that sets off the Losties-Others war that seems to be slowly brewing.

My guess - Locke. That bear has his scent and is looking for payback.
Or maybe Hurley. That would be a shocker matt! I hope on hope, no on destiny, that its not Locke. I have a feeling that it's Eko because its his flashback and he's supposed to appear on Regis/Kelly that week too...not a good combo. Plus, I never was a big jesustick/Eko fan.
I don't think it'll be Sayid. He's a great character that still could use another flashback. It may be Charlie, but I think he's embraced his sidekick role for a while now, so maybe.

Uhm...it appears that Paulo is the new character to fulfill that role. He was such a jerk when talking to Dez. And I think some fans have been, dare I say, clammoring for Charlie's death. Especially after his worst ep "Fire + Water" and his seemingly defining redemption moment at the end of last season.

I doubt it's going to be charlie, I don't think it's his time to go now that Claire has taken him back.
I also don't think it will be Kate, jack or Sawyer, because they still need to be around for the story. Also it probably won't beJin, Sun or Sayid, because I didn't really see them in the next episode preview.
I think it's deffinatly going to be Locke or Eko. But I don't know which one. I like Eko!

It won't be Locke, trust me! Reasons: 1)He is the new leader. 2)We still need to know what happened to his legs. 3)He's Locke!

I think Locke still has a lot left to do before he goes. My money is on Eko, though it pains me to admit.

Definitely Eko, for two reasons: 1) He's scheduled to be on Regis and Kelly on Thursday morning 2) He just had a run-in with the Hawaiian police. Remember what happened to Ana Lucia and Libby?

I also didn't think of this: What about baby Aaron? Boone also said that Claire and Charlie were ok, for now. He didn't mention Aaron at all. He has been around for all three seasons, and it would be a major shock if he died. With all that said though, I still am going for Sayid. If we trust Boone that Claire and Charlie were "okay... for now..." We can take the most recent episode to see what the coming danger to them was. Lightning!! Aaaargh! I would think that would rule out his round-about warning. Just a thought.

Why would it be the season of Romance when one of the top couples are split. They did that to Shannon.
