Besides, he only recently [in island time] knew that he has a HALF-sister!
He seems more interested in letting things happen instead of MAKING them happen...mellow in the 70's ;D ;D ;D

But yes, if there IS an island sickness that everyone's caught, it's symptoms include a complete lack of curiosity and proper ability to communicate, sooooo.... Plus, maybe mellow Jack has gotten a hold of some of those sugar cubes. |

Well - you would think that Jack would ask about Claire - and Rose and Bernard and Frogurt and all the others - but he and Kate and Hurley have to lay low for a while at least. I am sure we'll see some scene where Jack is brought up to date at some point.
Remember - the returning 815ers have only been there maybe 2 days - 3 days tops and can't be seen to be hanging around Sawyer, Juliet and Miles like they have known each other before.

I agree they're laying low, but it seems that conversation between Jack and Sawyer would likely bring up a conflict between the two that the writers don't want to deal with yet - ergo, it goes unspoken.

jack isnt worried about clare because he knows he in the 70,and she in the furture.but i think sun and frank will find clare, or she'll just show up with christain.

Yeah, if Sawyer and them were transported to 1977, wouldn't it be assumed that if Claire were alive she would have transported too? |

but why wouldnt they , knowing that only half the group moved in time the first time,then jack and crew show up,without sun,and in 3 year they'd know if clare was around. so she must be in 2007

1. They DON'T know that only half of them moved in time. How could they? Jin's probably still looking for Sun.
2. If they realize the others aren't in the same time as them, why would they assume them to be in 2007 of all years?
3. They don't know where, when or what Christian is, and only Locke ever saw Claire with him.

ok when sawyer and crew first got to 77,they most have spent alot of time looking for the other,and never found them.they were searching for their poeple for awhile. so they knew they were alone.
we know christain is in 2007 with sun and frank we saw that, he wont be showing up in the 70's because he not dead yet.
they would know they were in 2007 because that when they left from and they went back 30 years. now it could be a couple years either way depending on how fast time moves outside the island.
