Guys, Guys, guys...you forget the best one of all, the MIAMI VICE theme song, how can you go by that??? It brought out a fashion line and the 3 day growth look that's still current today.

That Night Court song, listening to it again, it's got some nice conga playing, but the thing I remembered the most was that little wood block "tink-tink" part.... I was totally thinking about Knight Rider, as well! All in the Family came to mind too. Oh and I was trying to think of more cartoons and kid shows type thing and Where in the World Is Carmen SanDiego was so much fun and it's got clever little geography puns, etc. The other one that was kind of random in my brain but that was also kind of a doo wop song was the themesong for the _cartoon_ of Alf. I remember nothing more about that show. Now I can't find my hastily scribbled list anywhere but I found a lot on this website www.tripletsandus.com/80s/tv_theme_wav.htmBut looking at a lot of the comments and how many people recognized those songs, I'm guessing I am older than Jay and younger than Jack. And/or maybe just weirder than both. ;^P

Had to vote for Jack on this one, even though "Simon & Simon" was pretty bad; surprised Jay didn't pick "Charles in Charge," or "Growing Pains," or "Saved by the Bell." Here's my list: 10: Cheers 9: Mission Impossible 8: Magnum P.I. 7: Hawaii Five-Oh 6: Sanford and Son 5: Firefly 4: Buffy the Vampire Slayer 3: The Sopranos 2: M*A*S*H 1: Star Trek: The Next Generation (honorable mentions: Star Trek, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Firefly, Rawhide, Rescue Me, The Rockford Files, The Pink Panther, I Love Lucy, NightCourt, Barney Miller, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, The Simpsons, South Park, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Monk, American Dad, The Larry Sanders Show, Flight of the Concords, and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson) Does anyone else remember that Disney's "Gummybears" song? That's a goofy one that always got stuck in my brain.

OMG MST3K!! I should get roundly punished for forgetting about that one.
And the Sopranos. When I rented those dvds, I watched the opening segment practically every time. I love that one, although the imagery going along with it is also indispensable....Elizabeth, the turnpike, the towers...

I loved Jay's list! I think we must be the same age because i grew up watching all the shows he did. Although Denver the Last Dinosaur, no matter how catchy it may be, is not a favorite of mine and I don't really like the Full House theme either. My List in no particular order: X-Files, Inspector Gadget, the Muppet Show, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Fraggle Rock, Fresh Prince of BelAir, Gilligan's Island, Pink Panther, Ducktails, and Knight Rider.

I never realized how many tv theme songs I have floating in my head until I read this thread.
I was at a tie, but Jay kept singing that stupid dinosaur song, so I voted for Jack. Sorry Jay, it just put me over the edge.
Here are my honorable mentions: The Muppets, Fraggle Rock, Seinfeld, The Simpsons, The X-Files, Ducktails, Inspector Gadget, Friends, MST3K, Thundercats, Sesame Street, The Jetsons.

+1 to CarcinoGenny for remembering "Carmen Sandiego," possibly the second greatest theme song after "Jem"! AMAZING.
Also, mad props to melxcloud & Sarahjean for remembering "The X-Files" theme, also waaay up there!

Jay, I only knew about 2 of your songs, but your list was better than Jack's. (Sorry Jack. Here's an exalt to try to make up for it. )

Jay, what in the world?!? Do you watch anything but the Cartoon Network?!? Yikes.
Jack, your list absolutely destroys Jay's kiddie-fest. This is not even close. You beat Jay one song in, and the beat down gets worse and worse as you move on.
My list:
10. M*A*S*H 9. Miami Vice 8. Dukes of Hazzard 7. Cheers 6. A-Team 5. Riptide 4. Fall Guy 3. Hogan's Heroes 2. Hawaii Five-O 1. Secret Agent Man
