10 bonus songs have been confirmed. They're mostly European bands. I haven't heard of any of them, but people were going crazy over "In Flames" so hopefully they are good. And a game site revealed that Tom Morello will be a playable character after defeating him in a boss battle involving an original composition he wrote. Well they didn't say all that, but they did reveal he is in the game Oh yeah, a demo is going to be packaged with the new Tony Hawk game (October release date?)...somehow I figured Neversoft would do something like this. Don't get me wrong, TH is a good series...but I won't get into what went wrong recently. Well, at least the THPS series will get a boost from all those GH freaks who will rent/buy the game. But the demo will be released on xbox live marketplace for download a week or two later. And "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" is a newly confirmed song ;D

Well, that "complete" setlist is just some rumor a guy on gamefaqs made up. He claimed a moderator on Scorehero leaked the list, but I can confirm this is false. Nothing like this was posted on Scorehero and removed - the mods haven't talked about anything except what Neversoft has allowed them to (since they have seen the complete setlist)
The list did have a bunch of old confirmed songs though. So not everything on there is wrong. Sorry your friend feels that way...because a ton of those songs are awesome. Knights of Cydonia is probably the best master track announced so far...besides the Metallica and Slayer songs
Actually I have an idea where it came from, because supposedly there was someone who was found on xbox live playing GHIII, and it had song names listed in his status. Looked like bad photo shopping to most though. But w/e, if this actually is the real list, its cool. I still think its a rumor though. We'll just have to wait and see

Alright, some new videos surfaced, and with a Sonic Youth song confirmed as well, I'm tempted to believe the leaked list is real. Still a little skeptical because there isn't a Velvet Revolver song like Slash had stated before and I don't know how they would do "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" (maybe an in house band covered it...), but looks solid.
So looking back on the list, I've got to say that out of the "new" songs...Disturbd, Slipknot, The Who, White Zombie, Cream, and The Sex Pistols all look awesome. Plus bonus songs like Killswitch Engage and Senses Fail....and I've also heard great things about "Cliffs of Dover" but have yet to hear it myself
BTW, there was a video for Cult of Personality that showed the first second of the newly recorded solo before cutting off - looks incredible. And Tom Morello looks awesome in Bulls on Parade (still wondering about the solo for that one...)

Nobody cares about GHIII? And these shiny new videos have just been released... FULL Cult of Personality www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdWiYOXVBfQ&mode=user&search=Raining Blood Solo (THE INSANITY!) www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgGE6sMgAkM&mode=user&search=BTW, the leaked setlist was correct about the songs, but I think the order might have been switched a little And if you do a google search, you can probably find the pictures that someone posted from the full build, which pretty much confirms the setlist was correct. One more thing...the Disturbed song has a bunch of three note chords in a row...but oh well, it still will be fun...I just feel this is the mark of bad charting (cause I've seen too many bad custom songs wasted due to oversaturation of 3-note chords)

I heard that, one of my favorite bands, Maylene & The Sons of Disaster is going to be on it. Does anyone know if this is true? They said it at their show but I have not seen it on any list out there. Or if another one of my favorite bands Every Time I Die is going to be on it again?

Unless Maylene and the Sons of Disaster will be released as DLC, they probably won't be in the game. There is alway hope though. Slash confirmed "She Builds Quick Machines" but that song isn't in the game...but recently more evidence supports a Velvet Revolver DLC pack. So more than likely Maylene will be appearing a few weeks after release. And I doubt that Every Time I Die will make a second appearance Atreyu also said they were in Guitar Hero III, but then they were added as GHII DLC...go figure

For those of you getting GHIII for the 360, Chris Vance will be hosting online games from 8 to midnight (EST) on the day of release. This is probably the easiest chance to get the "Meet Your Maker" achievement...if you can beat him! ...I'm pretty sure I can And more evidence for DLC packs - the Sex Pistols recorded another song for GHIII that was put up on iTunes. Again, this song isn't in the final build, so it must be downloadable ;D

Anybody try the demo on the new Tony Hawk game. I've heard that it may be a bit easier than GH II.

Sooooooo... I got GHIII yesterday, and I'm happy with the way it turned out. Any thoughts I had about this being easier than GHII quickly went away (well, my opinion of easier isn't based on passing songs, so some of you still might think differently haha. I base my opinion off if I can FC a song on expert). All of the songs have tricky sections in them, so don't expect any "Heart Shaped Box" songs ;D I actually failed two songs quite a few times - "Raining Blood" and "One." Raining Blood has this CRAZY fast descending note section about a third of the way into the song (yes, this is worse than Psychobilly Freakout or Hangar 18, it is just that fast), and that isn't even counting the solo. Despite it being extremely hard (and I don't see myself FC'ing the song any time soon) it is a blast to play. "One" just has a solo that will catch you off guard the first time you see it, but if you save star power you should be fine It took me a good 20 tries to beat the final boss (won't reveal for those of you who hate spoilers). The song is awesome, but you can't play it in quick play... I haven't been able to test online play because I can't connect to a game. And I have yet to play Co-op, but my brother is going to help me this weekend (he hasn't played in forever, so he might not be able to jump into expert ) All in all, definitely get this game. It has a great song list and some cool note charts (even if some have too many 3-note chords, they are challenging and fun to play. Don't listen to those who hate "Before I Forget" - one you get the rhythm you'll blow them away) So you can see "Raining Blood" in action... www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZwjQ_7Gbh4
