I just found out that supposedly, a Queens of the Stone Age song is supposed to make the cut for the game in production now. That would be sweet even if the band already had "No One Knows" in the original game.

Anyone esle have a feeling they know what songs or bands might come on the next sequel? A Mars Volta song would be the icing on the cake...for me anyways.

Queens is going to be back? Thats awesome! Only other band to do that was Black Sabbath (in both games I and II)

Its kinda like Audioslave and Rage too...only the lead singer changed

Oh, and not counting the indie bands

I'm pushing for an Offspring song, but it probably won't happen. Instead I see the boards filled with requests for "Dragonforce," "Bullet for my Valentine," and other shredders. Not that those groups would be bad - it would be an awesome challenge to play one of their songs. But there have to be some meaningful ones too ;D

Anyways, I think an Offspring song would be fun. I mean, if they could get a band like Sum 41 on the original, they could get The Offspring on board for the next one. I should visit the GH boards more often. The last time I got annoyed by someone who kept boasting they got 938450937509348 on "Psychobilly Freakout". And don't mess with those indie bands. I got their backs. ;D

I also found out about a rumor that the GH 80s Edition could come out this summer...interesting.

Hey, you know me Matt...

I guess its because I finally got the 360 version, so I'm all hooked on it again (Oh! I just remembered, we forgot to include Megadeth in the list of bands that made GH two times. Haha)

And the 80s edition is not a rumor, because the guy at my local EB was taking pre-orders! ;D He said it was "an expansion" to the PS2 version, so as of right now there is no 360 "80s Edition." And it will be coming out over the summer!

Even though the DLC is kinda priced steep for GHII, what they did with the songs is great. Bass part from both Ace of Spades and Higher Ground is incredible. I enjoy playing bass on Higher Ground more than lead ;D

Whoops...getting off topic here...so yeah, the way they choose songs for GH is interesting haha. You have the awesome bands like Boston, Motorhead, Bad Religion, Pantera, Red Hot Chili Peppers...and then other bands like Sum 41

And I'm afraid I'm beginning to ramble on here, so I'll stop haha

OMG! I was singing about half these songs when I was playing GHII co-op with my sister last weekend.

I kept telling her they'd have another Rolling Stones song on III, but she was ignoring me by singing 'Berracuda' while playing 'Crazy on You'. I'm a big Weezer fan too but I'd like to see something like 'Only In Dreams', but that might be too long...oh well.

In addition to both Rolling Stones and Heart, we've got Alice Cooper and Kiss returning (and of course Queens of the Stone Age, though it isn't Octane official yet)

I'm sure Megadeth will return again. And I personally want Stone Temple Pilots to return..they have some others that would be great fun (Wicked Garden or Sex Type Thing)

Last night I finally 5 starred every career mode song on Expert...made me happy haha. Though I've still got to 5 star Six and beat Jordan

Heh, I slipped down a couple places since last time...to 208. But I've got a few more songs to push it back up ;D

I don't think I'll make my goal of below 100 though, because it seems I'm maxing out to the best of my ability on most songs

Sorry about not replying back to you on live DI, its just that typing with the guitar is so annoyingly hard and I was on a roll with "Stop" (almost got a FC...just the crazy solo that comes out of nowhere that got me)

Just keep practicing and you can get to expert too
