and I thought you changed your mind, DI. About getting a Wii...I have to admit that although Call of Duty does not look as pretty as it would on, say, the 360, I have to commend them for trying it out on the Wii. Other games like Far Cry and Battillion Wars are on it too...ok, I'm off topic...

gears of war does rock...i just got it a few days ago and it is amazing...the graphics are by far the best you'll see on any next gen console this season and the gameplay is intense, gripping, and fun. Online multiplayer is a blast, whether youre playing thru co op campaign or multiplayer 4 on 4 deathmatches. the game overall is just so addicting and so much fun.

the sweet thing about 360 is that it has so many great games like gears of war (exclusive) and other multiplatform games. Also, third-party publishers are pushing to put previously PS3 exclusives onto xbox 360 as well...this already happened with GTA4 and Assassin's Creed (and there's a rumor that Metal Gear Solid 4 may be coming to 360). 360 = awesome

OMG, what are you waiting for Blaw, go get it! I don't even have a 359 and I'd play it. Sure, I'd get sawed in half, gunned down, or obliterated by that satelite laser 2 seconds into single/multiplayer, but it looks cool in the process.

For those who don't know what Bob is talking about, (I have no idea either), there was lots of Halo 3 news:

Members of the online Halo community are now refered to as "Halo Nation."

A commercial for Halo 3 is coming to televisions the world over. On Monday Night football this week. The commercial was created by Hollywood effects house Digitial Domain and will be CG footage as opposed to gameplay footage.

Directly following the commercial, look for a new "making-of" video on XBox Live.

New multi-player maps for Halo 2 will be available in Spring. The maps will "cost something."


Drumroll for the final, huge announcement:

Public Beta for Halo 3 will begin next Spring! You'll be able to play multiplayer Halo 3 before the game is released. Neat, huh?

Well I imagine you have to sign up to test the game, they arent just gonna put it up on the marketplace for you to download, that would just be a demo.

And it isn't Monday Night Football this week, the MNF on Dec 4.

I just got my husband a 360 for his birthday - i must say the quality's fantastic and we have great fun playing with it. We already had on out old xbox ;-)
