The controls are very good, and its simply fun to play. No the core xbox is 299, the premium is 399. C'mon matt, Jump In.

299? Oh yea...that's why people were pissed the Wii was only 50 bucks cheaper than the new XBOX. Hmm...I MAY get one of these - but isn't the 299 version the crappy one? I can't believe I'm saying this. There's just so many good games out. Which one do you have? I keep hearing bad stuff about the 359...like it dying or something, freezing. I don't know much about at all, but enlighten me. If I do get one...it may have to wait until next year. Sorry Microsoft...not yet.

Well the only thing that i notice is wrong with my system is that it always freezes when I put in a DVD, it gets to the FBI warning screen and bam, frozen. Other than that, it has only froze one other time, because I forgot to open my cabinet and it overheated. I think i will try out more dvds to see if the problems continues.
Well I don't have many games for it, Oblivion would be my recommendation, obviously. I can't wait for Gears of War, if it gets good reviews I think I will get it. I love how most games are being made for multiple consoles. There are still a few exclusivities, but they are disapearing slowly. My favorite GTA IV.
Yea the 299 one is the crappy one. You don't get a hard-drive. I can't remember any other big differences, but im sure if you investigate you'll find 'em.

I knew it! Screw the DVD player, my new TV has one already! I keep hearing GoW was a great game, but I'm just not playing games as intense looking as this. Oblivion is just pure awesomeness. I love how you don't even have to touch the main quest. And GoW and games like Call of Duty are intense, even Far Cry...which reminds me of Lost...but I hate GTA. It hurts my eyes. I'll read up on it, I like these gaming mags I'm getting from Game Stop...GameInformer. I guess the hard-drive is important...but it sounds complicated. Can't you just buy one separately if you get the cheaper one?

But matt, how can you not like GTA Privet Drive? I can imagine the graphic of the next gen might look alot better than the ps2. I have been getting GameInformer for about maybe like 3 years.
ok so here is the break-down:
Premium- xbox 360 w/ chrome finish, Hard drive, wireless controller, xbox live headset, component hd cable, ethernet cable.
Core- xbox 360, wired controller, composite a/v cable.
The Hard drive alone is 100$, so if you buy the core, and the hard drive, its already 399. So the Premium seems like the best way to go.

Yes, I was consider GTA: PD, don't worry. She's on it. Microsoft has already said its console LOOKS better then the PS3, but I'm not much of a graphics snob to care. Dewd...400 bucks is a lot for a console...and I don't have an HD Tv, though I don't think you need one either. It should come with wireless controllers in BOTH packs, that's wrong they cheat you out of that with the cheaper one. Even the Wiimotes are wireless at launch. Anyways, do you really need a harddrive, those games much take up loads of storage. But the last XBOX had one too I think...

There are smaller memory sticks, 64 mb. I don't really know if thats big compared to the save game files. Yea, you don't need an hd tv. It would be pretty hard for the wiimote to note be wireless. *Swings wiimote*........ Please insert a controller in port one. That would be the new screen of death.

Yeah, I guess the hard drives are their answer for you not having to buy memory sticks. That's handy, but expensive. Before this goes off topic, the wiimote does have a small wristband attachment, so it doesn't end up flinging out your window when you try and fish in Zelda for instance. I haven't even seen the XBOX controller...gah...I'm such a noob.

Someone mentioned they were stoked about Halo 3 and I found some info on it: New Weapons. The spike weapon and secondary weapon will always be showing on the back. - Spiker: The weapon of choice for brutes - Spartan Laser: An anti-vehicle weapon - Nail Grenade: Sticks on walls and emits nails into the air (like in Resistance) New Vehicle. - Moongoose: The ATV that was supposed to be in Halo 2. It carries 2 people and it doesn’t have any weapons so it’s mainly a means of getting from point A to point B as fast as possible, but players can fire while in it. New multiplayer features. - Man Cannon: Launches you into the air. You can still be fired at and you can fire back. It sounds like the jump pads from Unreal and Quake Arena. Though the cannon part could mean that you are a weapon if you collide with someone physically. - No bots: No bots again. - Controls: The X-button will have a special use which game developer Bungie will not reveal. A guess is it’s for stealing the opponent’s weapon in close range. Bumpers are now used to reload both weapons independently. Halo 3: Legendary Edition. The Collector’s Edition will be called “Legendary Edition” and is a replica of Master Chief’s helmet complete with four DVD discs. - The first disc will be the game disc. - The second will contain documentaries and developer comments. - The third disc is all about the spin-off material that has been created (Red vs. Blue, Spark of Life etc). - The fourth disc will contain all of the cut scenes from Halo 1 to 3 in HD. (you can see it on the 3rd photo) - A taste of the Halo movie will be on one of the discs. www.videogamesblogger.com/
