Haha, the Wii version unique like you can use the remote to bash people over the head with a Jesus Stick? That'd be so dang cool ;D The possibilties are endless! You could play on the golf course, throw knives, try to work in a makeshift doctors office in a cave (the Wii game Trauma makes you do heart/brain surgery or something), or practice your lasso moves with that wierd thing the Others use to catch people. ;D

[glow=red,2,300]Euro Wii Price and Date Announced[/glow]Nintendo finally gives us Europeans the news we've been waiting for.by Matt Wales UK, September 15, 2006 - Speaking at its European Wii press conference today, Nintendo has finally revealed that its forthcoming console will hit shelves across the territory on 8 December, priced at £179 in the UK and 249 Euros in Europe. Games will cost between £34-£39 (49-50 Euros). For their money, European customers will recieve a spanking new Wii console, one Wiimote and nunchuck attachment, alongside a copy of Nintendo's family-friendly Wii showcase, Wii Sports. The package will also include an AC adaptor, A/V cable, console stand, sensor bar, sensor bar stand and two AA batteries. Also from launch, punters can pick up extra Wiimote's for the princely sum of £29/€39, nunchuck attachments for £14/€19 and that all-important Virtual Console-aiding Classic Controller, priced at £14/€19. Ok, I'm too lazy to read that stuff, so just tell me: is it online capable? Of course it is, or will be. Wii is supposed to have WiFi enabled called WiiConnect24. The Wii console can communicate with the Internet even when the power is turned off. The WiiConnect24 service delivers a new surprise or game update, even if the system is idle. Users can connect wirelessly using IEEE 802.11 or a USB 2.0 LAN adaptor, so u won't have to get an internet connection for it - and the online service is free, so far, or up to June I heard. But it uses the WiFi to let u browse the web via Opera and access its Wii Channels in constantly updated News and Weather Channels. As far as gameplay, no launch titles will have online play, supposedly not until early next year when later third party publishers release their games after the launch window. At the Nintendo of Japan conference, they announced the first game with online play is Japan is some Pokemon game which should also be the US' first online play games as well. Details on online gaming are still sketchy, but if and when something comes up, I'll post it here.

If I ever buy PS3, I'll wait for the tag to drop. I might grab a 360 so I can get into all of this ramen induced online action...

[glow=red,2,300] Wii Don't Mind M-Rated Games[/glow] The company is talking to Take Two about big boy games for the littlest console.by Kathleen Sanders September 20, 2006 - In a recent MTV.com interview with Reggie Fils-Aime, the Nintendo of America president spoke about M-rated games coming to the new Wii console -- and that the company is even talking to Grand Theft Auto creators Take-Two Interactive. Said Fils-Aime: "We're reaching out to every publisher, frankly every day. I'll be spending some time later today with the folks over at Take Two to see what type of support they can give our console. ... The fact is there will be M-rated content on the Wii console. EA has already announced that they're bringing 'The Godfather' to our console. And we want every single best-selling game to be available on Wii. Whatever that content is." Does this mean Grand Theft Auto: Wii? It would be the first time Nintendo, a notoriously family-oriented company, put the scandalously violent but popular series on one of its home consoles (there was a Grand Theft Auto for the Game Boy Advance). Perhaps gamers will get to see some gratuitous action on the Wii after all. wii.ign.com/articles/733/733822p1.htmlWell, I guess the games are not all hearts and flowers for the kiddos after all. So I guess you're one step closer to making your GTA: Privet Drive a reality Blaw! ;D Maybe the new Splinter Cell and Far Cry are going to be rated M, but I bet its just Teen.
