thats good, I just hope this day off clears their heads and they kick the crap out of the royals the rest of the week Excuse me! Some of us are Royals fans! And as you may already know, it's really TOUGH to be a Royals fan. We have so little in this world, and now I can't even go on this forum without being reminded that our team is less than stellar! Shame on you Casey, shame on YOU! j/k, lol! I'm actually going to the game tomorrow, and when the Royals WIN I'll do a little victory dance.

I am going to say something, so prepare for my rant. If this offends anyone who likes the players/people I mention, please know I mean no harm, but I must get this off my chest.
First off, every game that Barry Bonds plays, or everytime Mark McGwire speaks (I am a Cardinal fan, so don't think this isn't affecting me), or every day that the Commissioner doesn't do something about steriods for REAL, is another day I began to care less and less about baseball. I have been a fan all my life, but all of this stuff that is going on has ruined the game for me. It is no longer about the game, but about money. Greed has destroyed the game I have once loved, and I am sorry to say that I hope they cancel it for at least a year, clean house of everyone that was involved somehow in steriods, and bring it back again. If you take offense to this, I apologize, but I had to get this off my chest.

I know what you are saying ben, and when they kept interupting games when bonds was getting close to ruth's record I kept getting mad because who knows how many of those home runs where "enhanced" buut its not really much of a problem now (or at least I am not aware of it) I hated baseball for a long time but I got back into it in 2003 and decided my team would be the red sox, mainly because my brother is a yankees fan, but I have watched most of the games since '03 and love watching the sox play because of the fans. when they play in fenway the fans treat each game like its a play off game and that is amazing. The fact that during a game they put all of the games politics aside and just get into it and I think it has an effect on the players because they play to live up to the hype the fans create. now I follow all of their games and watch each one like it was the last of the season because thats how they play in boston, which is why I think they are the best team, because they play with heart and its not about money
the marlins are like that too no one goes to their games, they are a bunch of nobodys but they are playing for themselves because they arent playing for the money. those are teams I like to watch play because they are playing just to play.

I was so happy for the Red Sox when they won the world series despite the fact they beat my Cardinals because that was history. My grandfather never got to see that, and I was able to witness it! I cried when they made the final out. I may never get to see something of that caliber again without worrying if it was clean or not.

yeah, I know that feeling. plus I like ortiz because he gets homers in clutch situations and hes clean, thats all HIS ability, I would much rather see a ortiz homer than a bonds homer.

Just like with me and Albert Pujols, it is all his ability. He is fantastic, and it makes me so happy to see that the future may not be too bleak for baseball.
The same thing goes with Lance Armstrong. He has proven time and time again that he is clean, and he won the Tour de France 6 times in a row! That is his ability, and hearing about the American who cheated embarreses me so much. He is a disgrace to sports in general.

i like pujols, I like all players who play because they love to play. like there is a big difference between derek jeter and alex rodrigez (i know the spelling is wrong, sorry) they are both very good players but jeter plays with heart and arod plays for money.

Same here. If Albert Pujols were to be juicing, I would give up on baseball forever. That would be the last straw for me.
