the good: yankees lose in extra innings
the bad: red sox lose...to the royals
the ugly: lost the wild card lead but the yankees gain no ground

sounds good from your perspective, but the red sox are a contending team and to lose to a last place team constitutes as bad

sounds good from your perspective, but the red sox are a contending team and to lose to a last place team constitutes as bad Honestly I only follow the Royals, so when they are not a contender for playoffs (which is almost always) I don't pay attention to that stuff. But I do hope the sox make it, if it means crushing the Yankees!

thats the spirit!
I have found there are more people hate the yankees than there are people who like the yankees

That's because the Yankees are made of pure evil...and eat babies for breakfast.

Tonights Red Sox/Royals Pitching matchup c/o redsox.com
BOS: RHP Josh Beckett (13-6, 5.00 ERA) Beckett's last outing encapsulated his season in only six innings. He pitched brilliantly for the majority of the start and struggled for one inning, allowing six runs and seven straight hits in the sixth inning after allowing only one run in the first five frames. He also gave up his Major League-leading 31st home run of the season, one of three on the night against the Indians.
KC: LHP Mark Redman (7-6, 5.38 ERA) One bad inning spoiled Redman's last outing. The Twins' Justin Morneau belted a three-run double, but that was all that Redman gave up in his 5 1/3 innings. His control was off, walking five and throwing 101 pitches. He took a no-decision and is 1-2 since reeling off a six-game winning streak.
Player to watch Left fielder Manny Ramirez has 34 home runs and 106 RBIs in his career against Kansas City.

I have a feeling if we dont win tonight our playoff chances are slim to none, we have to win tonight and take at least 2 out of 3 from the orioles and hope thats enough momentum to take us through the tigers and the yankees, schilling really needs to step up tonight and put a break on this streak.
on a positive note, the last 4 game losing streak we had this season ended in a 12 game winning streak

thats true and if shilling goes out strong tonight and paps gets a win i think that we can pick up some momentom and then go strong threw the O's when its time we could be toe to toe with the yanks.
