I haven't heard that sam wants to come back for a fourth film. If you have a link to that quote, could you post it, por favor?
yes, Sony is making a fifth and sixth, and sam hasn't said whether he is doing it or not. And Kirsten Dunst has said that she will come back only if Sam comes back, and Toby has stated that he won't come back if Kirsten and Sam don't come back, so if they don't, Sony will have to get new actors all over again.
I hope Sam continues to do these movies, he has done a fantastic job, and bringing in new actors and directors would only ruin the franchise.
5 more days till I am standing behind a counter staring at 3 billion people coming to see Spidey 3. *shudder*

Haha, good luck with that ben! I know you can't always rely on imdb, but this is where I heard about spider man 4 www.imdb.com/title/tt0948470/I never saw anything about Sam Raimi saying that he's going to do spider-man 4, but here it says he is. It could be wrong though.

They are selling them here too (St Louis MO). There is an IMAX theater just down the road from me. I haven't bought tickets yet, but I will try for matinee for sometime this weekend.
Actually they are also selling advanced tickets to Shrek 3 already.

I'm not too worried. I haven't had any trouble getting tickets to the big movies in the past, including Spidey 2.
And the theaters are now going to digital projection. I haven't seen a movie with it yet, so I don't know if there is a difference. I think 4 or 5 screens are equipped with digital.

I have heard they at least stayed partially true of the "birth" of Venom from the comics when (spoilers) Eddie Brock went to the church. In the comic books (if I remember correctly) he is praying for Spider-Man to be...smote (long story short - lost his job because Spider-Man proved his top story false)...when the alien life-form-soon-to-be Venom comes (abandoned by Spider-Man) and joins with Brock because they both share a hate of Spider-Man.
In the movie, apparently Brock (after leaving the church) observes Peter tearing off the dark costume in the church belltower, as the costume grew attached to him and begins to control him. Some of the costume (still basically a parasitic life-form) touches Brock and becomes Venom with him So that makes me partially happy ;D

Yea, in the Ultimate Series, Brock's dad and Peter's dad created the symbiote, but in the original comic books, Spidey gets the suit after a huge battle in space (don't remember what it was about). Also, if a part of the suit went to Brock, is it possible the other part will go to that one guy and become Carnage? Possibly setting up for Spidey 4 Anyway, great to see you again, Dez. Haven't seen you in a long time.

Eee... just got my tickets to an early midnight screening ;D
I'm so excited! I hope Raimi comes back... the Spiderman franchise are some of the few superhero movies that are actually, you know, well crafted movies. Not saying I don't like explosions and hot people in spandex, but the Spidey movies seem to have... more. If that makes any sense.

I agree, and I have sworn to myself that if Raimi does not return, I won't watch Spidey 4. Especially if Kirsten and Tobey do leave as well. Where do you live, anyway, fishbiscuits? I know you say halifax, but where is that?
