Nintendo wasn't the only one with a fat press announcement today: Microsoft's world domination plan took a step forward with the release of the Zune. The handheld music and video player that would like to steal market share from the ubiquitous iPod will include wireless features that allows sharing of music, photos and playlists with other Zune users. "The idea is to legitimize peer-to-peer sharing in a healthy way that works for everybody," said J Allard, a Microsoft vice-president in charge of the Zune product line. ...of course, when you "share" a song with someone, they can only keep it for two days, which turns you into an Indian-giver. Are you gonna switch to Zune or keep your iPod? gear.ign.com/articles/732/732897p1.html

Ipod all the way! I'm waiting for the new iPod to be released. The gossip says that it will have a 3.5" screen and no scroll wheel. and that the screen will be a touch screen to control stuff with. THAT WILL BE SOOOOO COOOL!!!

Ya hear Windows? IT WON'T WORK. Stick to xBox. iPod killer? I doubt that. Wow, look how 'original' Microsoft's ideas are. Do they even have a R&D department? Yes they do, it's called Apple Computer.

Yeah the thing is clunkier, and will be more expensive then the iPod (Apple pulled a fast one by lowering the price, if Microsoft wants to make their players in the same price range they are going to lose money) I'm so sick of Bill and Friends ripping off Apple, So yeah I vote no

it might be early 07 for the widescreen ones. Probably when Apple releases OSX 10.5, iLife 06, "iTV", and the iPhone

if i had a nickel for every time I hear about an "ipod killer" that fails, i would be rich.
I'm still debating about getting a video or wait for the widescreen, I think i might wait.

I already have a 30gb video and that's fine for me right now. Maybe later I'll end up buying a model with a larger capacity.

I don't have an iPod yet so I think I'll just get a Zune instead.
