I don't have an iPod yet so I think I'll just get a Zune instead. Get out, GET OUT!

if i had a nickel for every time I hear about an "ipod killer" that fails, i would be rich. I'm still debating about getting a video or wait for the widescreen, I think i might wait. ipod's just too powerful. there are mp3 players that do just about the same thing and have more memory and are smaller than the nano, and cost like $60. and shuffle's a joke, you can get better for cheaper by about 20 off-brand mp3 players. All thats needed to kill ipod is a nice publicity campaign, like zune had. the problem is, microsoft were morons and tried to make a better ipod, and theyre not gunna do it, theyre just not. They failed miserably. If microsoft would make an mp3 player for 100 bucks that has 20-50gb they could crush ipod (except for video. ipod has that market in hand except for PSP)

Hahah Welcome to the Lost Zunecast!
Yea shinra the ipod is too powerful. I can't see them getting beaten, and I dont want them too. My ipod still has some life left, so I think I will wait for the widescreen.

The reason why Apple is so far ahead of MicroSoft is the software. Its just so easy to use an iPod and it just works so well. Windows doesn't know how make software that isnt more complicated then it should be. And the "pod" in podcast contrary to belief isnt for the iPod its for Portable on Demand

OH! You learn something new everyday. But then again, you don't need an iPod to hear a podcast. ;D

Thanks Jay, I didn't know that. Yea Apple makes the Ipod "flow" very easily. It's very user friendly.
Oh and Jay, it's really cool that you're posting more.

The biggest competetion Apple has right now is the Creative Zen. When I bought my 5G 60GB at Fry's, the guy kept telling me not to go with the iPod, to get the Zen. I've seen alot of people using them, not as many as iPod's, but alot.
