I'm listening to it now. I like John, Ben, and Andrew, however I do miss Melissa. John wasn't too bad cause he had to be the leader this episode. This one does feel more like a Mugglecast though, which isn't bad, but I enjoy the different things they both have to offer.

I miss Canon Conundrums! and Melissa. I was so looking forward to hearing them talk about the gleam! I should of known when they didn't update the leaky poll about it. John was still as funny as ever!
GRRRR just got to the part where john said he overslept causing them to wait for him but then melissa had to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha, I just got to that part too where John said he over slept. Canon Conundrums is my favorite segment ever on a HP podcast, and I'd LOVE to hear what the four of them have to say about the gleam. Oh well, it'll air eventually.

Character Discussion 1: Dawlish! No, it's Neville Longbottom. What do you guys think about him? Memory charm or not? What role will he play in book 7? What were your favorite Neville Moments? Just some questions to keep in mind.

Neville- When I first started reading, I thought Neville was just a kid that had a bad memory and wasn't very good with potions. After reading all 6 books... oh how that opinion has changed. I started feeling more empathy for him as I found out more of his story and I realized how much I could relate with him and I just about cracked when we saw his parents in the ward at St. Mungo's and during the battle at the Ministry,DON'T GIB IT TO EM ARRY (I feel the same way Melissa does about Neville). I believe he's got a lot more potential than he's credited for and he will be important in book 7. I don't think he's had a memory charm, I just think he always was nervous at the beginning of the series which might explain part of the reason he's so forgetful. I think he'll have a hand at maybe killing or hurting Bellatrix (Man, I'd love that). A few of my fav. Neville Moments are sort of sad, uh... : When Moody does thouse Unforgiveables right in front of Neville and Neville's emotions are high. In the 5th book when he learned that spell in the D.A. faster than everyone except Hermione and began showing more of the hidden potential he has after learning that his parent's torturers were on the run. And of course the "DON'T GIB IT TO EM HARRY" scene and the scene at St. Mungo's.
=) I just reached the mailbag segment for Pottercast.
About the Butterbeer and the Treacle Fudge stuff, I made the Butterbeer and I guess it wasn't half bad. It had a sharp sort of taste to it because of the cream soda and I made the Treacle stuff and.. I don't think that'll turn out that well. I had a bit of the batter before I put in the molasses and it tasted fine and after I added the molasses, it tasted sort of nasty. It's set out on the kitchen table, so now I'm just waiting for it to harden.
Note on the Treacle// It's been about 3 hours and no significant changes. I spooned some and tasted it and at first it tastes nice and sweet and then it leaves an aftertaste of molasses..which doesn't taste good.

Good highlights for Neville, the Numb3ers! I especially like that bravery he showed in Order of the Phoenix; I knew he had it in him since he stood up to his friends in Sorcerer's Stone. I've always liked Neville because he's always seemed like a noble friend and a true Gryffindor. And he has immense knowledge about Herbology so I don't know how that couldn't be seen as awesome! I wonder if that'll play a larger role...perhaps there's some freaky way to obliterate a horcrux with some kind of herbal remedy, dunno, but Neville has to aid Harry someway. He was so close to being the Boy that lived, but he's got something he can work with. Its really sad to see his parents and his situation with that. And those sweet wrappers! Jo said there was something up with those. I agree that he may try and seek revenge for killing Bellatrix, that woman is one several hit lists. But as Gryffindor, I'd don't see him really persuing revenge.
And kudos The Numb3rs for trying out the Treacle Fudge and Butterbeer. Your braver than I!
