Holy crap! That's ridiculous...Details!! Oh good morning everyone Well not too much to tell from my end. My coworker called me to tell me there was a chase ending just up the street (she was watching it on the news.) I went to look out the front door and could see the car and a million cop cars. As I watched, the cops came and blockaded the street right in front of me and started redirecting cars. As usual there were also a bunch of helicopters overhead too. After a minute or so I went back to the office and continued working. About midnight a cop comes in and asks what time everyone will be leaving tonight. I tell him in just a little bit as both my bookings were starting to wrap up. He asked me to have everyone go North, away from the standoff as they left. I said "no problem." A little later as everyone was leaving, there were some clients who said the police wouldn't let them go to their cars since they had parked in front - where the whole thing was taking place. I waved over another officer who was patrolling the alley and asked him if they could go get their cars and come down the drive. He said no, that there was a standoff happening and they didn't want anyone to get shot, so that if their cars were out front, to please have them remain inside the studio and to lock the doors. So we did. We ended up there for another hour until they opened up the street again. Apparently the man shot himself. From what I understand, no one else was injured in the standoff - at least as far as I know. |

haha, well I found out last night that I went from getting $1,100 back in taxes to owing the government $1,200 because of some 1099 stuff. So my night was beyond depressing lol. I better get a job quickly within moving or I'll have to be back in NY before I know it now. Yikes.
