I agree with you too, that is why I think the list should be used as a recomendation or guideline for people

Yeah, the list would be guidelines of acceptable reasons to exalt and acceptable reasons to smite. not a list of people. and there would be no way or reason to enforce this list, so it would just be nice to have a set guideline and hopefully that would cut down on the excess of exalts

im sure we can all find a way to have everything work out for everyone

we had a similar problem a couple months ago with the banners, a lot of people (including me) had excessivelly large sized banners and some people didnt like it, we worked it out in a thread somewhere and now everything seems to be fine, this situation seems to be similar because the karma is being abused.

Yeah however, what can you do? If I exsalt Jay, for exsample, can he go back see that I exsalted him? There is one menber that keeps smiteing people, how do we enforce anything without hurting all the other menbers who use the krama rightly (which is like 99.999999999999% of everyone)

there is no way the banner size is enforced but we recognized the problem and it seems that everything is under control now

the same goes for the karma, we cant enforce a way to have the karma distributed but people will know that its not cool to just throw out exalts, if someone does something that you like, think is cool, or think is funny or anything like that go ahead, exalt away, but having things like the be nice get exalted thread is abusing it, where you just post in the thread and get caught up in the karma storm, also the karma profiles like the karma fairy, again not the way the karma was meant to be used.

I'm talking about that smiter who keeps smiteing people like Hans and fly and anyone who exsallts them.

thats just what this is leading to, with all the mass exalts will come mass smitings, I noticed that someone has been smiting everyone all day, my guess is they want everyone to freak out so just ignore it

maybe the 1 hour we have to wait between exalts isnt long enough. maybe it shouold be 2 or 3 hours, then people would think before they exalt

hat eto play devil's advacate, but how is extending the time where your aloud to exsalt someone really going to make people think about who to exsatl? With all do respect, how mny people will actualy put that much time itno who they think they should exsalt? Then again, it will make it ahrder ofr someone to smite you to 0

its the same thing with money. if ur a multi-millionaire arent you more likely to spend money without thinking that someone who only gets paid minimum wage? what im thinking is that if u have fewer exalts or smites to give, you'll use them more wisely

Yeah thats true...except with exalts, you always know you will get them. People are more cautious with money because its not unlimited (for some )
