I bet that's fake. I mean look at the trees around it, they arent consistent with the trees on the island and neither is the landscape. + there's nothing in the pic that says it's from Lost and not just some random pictures taken in the woods by teenagers

I think he is building a chapel even if that's fake. What else would Eko build, other than a place of worship.....

I wonder, though, why build a church? Would it have some specific purpose for Eko, such as offering sanctuary or to take confession?

I also think he's building a church/chapel. Did you notice in last night's episode that he had a bowl of water that he dipped his fingers in and crossed himself with before he walked over to where he was chopping trees? I'm not a Catholic, so correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what is done before entering the sanctuary of a Catholic church. So, maybe he has already consecrated the ground or whatever to make it holy, so needs to cross himself before "entering" to continue to build it. Did anybody else catch that?

yeah i caught that... made me think he was building a church too. he's a freakin' born-again. no offense to any born-again christians who may be on these forums, its just a little dissapointing to see mr. bad ass Eko turn into a bible banger.

I'd be very surprised if it was fake. There's no obvious signs of Photoshopping, and the scenery seems to match that of where it seems to be that Eko was building it. |

Catholic here..not the most devout but whatever.  Yea, going to mass on sundays we normally bless ourselves at the door with holy water.. Don't think he's a born again anyways |

Being a christian isnt all about going to church, praying, and being baptised, etc. People misunderstand christianity and i dont get it...

Being Dharma isnt all about going to kidnap kids, pushing buttons, and being quarantined on the island by a Black Smoke Monster, etc. People misunderstand Dharma and I dont get it...
