ABC lost site does say Eko told Charlie he's building a church. I don't remember hearing that.....

It looks as though it may be a church, from that diary entry... but it would make a lot more sense if it was a watch tower. Think about it... you could make it tall enough to see a bit into the jungle and be able to see quite a bit of coast line. They would be able to have people keep watch and alert people when then see anything suspicious. It makes more sense than a huge building with virtually no practical purpose (sorry guys, but really, no one will live there, not using for storage...) I just seems like a huge waste of time to build a church, but then again this is coming from someone who never went to church....
