I'm sorry for asking this so late but in the very first episode and scene where Jack Shepard is on the floor under the trees, how the heck did he get there? And how did he survive such a fall? I have a feeling something happened thats not normal.
oh yea. i was also wondering why in Jay's Board it says "If you have a question or comment for Jay put it here" but how come under your board it only says " If you have a question for Jack put it here"? We cant give you comments? Or are there not many comments to give to you? -Brian H :P

Sorry but i was the one who posted this topic, just to let you know.... accidently posted it on guest account Not to invade this thread or something.. no pun intended and all that.. but here goes.. You see jack in the jungle... why... well this could be explaned by him wandering or crawling to this spot before this episode started or maybe jack has a memory loss and this we probably have to think for our self. maybe his injury (the one he couldn't reach and kate had to help him with) is the reason he passed out after his little walk from the other survivors.. just maybe he had to take a leak or something and that's why he's in the jungle.. well that's my theory. Cheers!

Maybe he was thrown there after impact. If we are to believe anyone could survive the crash at all, no big deal being thrown another 50 yards. Why not? Bernard landed in a tree.

Why does Jay get all the easy questions? I've always wonder how Jack Landed like he did without getting killed. Maybe Dashn is right. Let me think about it for a few days, maybe I can come up with something

They never meant to. It was there as a sign of a disaster occuring. They used it to make the audience feel uneasy and unsure of what would happen next.

That first shot always reminded me of the terrific film Fearless, with Jeff Bridges...Bridges walks out of a cornfield, with people and debris spread around for hundreds of yards. A slight scratch on his torso hints at how bad it could have been.

That's a tuff one. Well, it could be many things. Remember the scottish guys theory? Maybe the alien saw something in Jack, or wanted him to see the White Sneaker (I think the sneaker was his Dad's, when he sees him he is wearing white sneakers), so he decided to place him there.
Wait....maybe he saw his Dad wearing the white sneakers because he saw that one in the bamboo...maybe because his dad and the sneaker both symbolize something similar...hmmm...
