What Kate Did Discussion: Episode 2.09

I thought the US promo was pretty strange. I didn't quite catch what Kate was hearing Sawyer say, but that Canadian promo was much better. Nice to see Michael down the hatch.

I can't wait to see what else that Dharma film reveals, and it's peculiar to see that clock hit zero. I hope that it's not a dream.

Well, I have a certian sinking feeling we're going to either have the episode cut off once the clock reaches zero or it will be a dream. Anyone remember the "everything's going to change" incident? But it doesn't matter to me if it is a dream. Looking back, any episode with a dream in it turns out really really good (Raised By Another, Deus Ex Machina, Everybody Hates Hugo). It will burn me up if we have to wait six weeks to see what happens though...but we'll just have to see...

I thought this exact thing when I saw the Canadian promo...that would just do us all in, wouldn't it?!

Indeed it would. I was pretty close to cracking last break, and nothing even happened in '...And Found'. But, looking on the bright side, it would be nice to have a good cliff hanger. Despite six weeks of stewing over it.

I think the minute the countdown counts to zero the episode ends. And the next episode after that someone is dreaming the whole thing, wakes up and hear the 4 minute warning (like Hurley did episodes earlier).
That's the "Cliffhanger" for ya.

Btw. I Recorded the Lost intro music and reversed it with a sound software program and it seems like the music is played backwards in the original (at least some of it.), makes one think about the backward messages Walt is saying/has said to Sayid and Shannon.
Maybe the whole Idea behind the Series is about thinking backwards, or just finding clues in everything that is said or done by the survivors and Co.

Interesting news just now on aintitcool.com from Damon Lindelof himself, talking about the IMDB Lost page:

"They've got it solid thru Episode 9 [tonight’s Kate-centric installment], but after that, it's complete fiction.
Episode Ten [airing Jan. 11] is titled "The 23rd Psalm." Robert Patrick is not in it.
Episode Eleven [the next Jack-centric episode] is INDEED titled "The Hunting Party." John Terry is in it, but none of the other cast listed is.
Episode Twelve is being WRITTEN as we speak, has no title, and I can assure you, Desmond, Gerald DeGroot, and Helen have absolutely nothing to do with it."
