I'm usually not someone to start threads, but this is really important to me!!
So about 6 months ago I discovered a show called "Legend of the Seeker"
it is a sweeping fantasy series based on the "Sword of Truth" Books written by Terry Goodkind
It showcase Amazing Acting and Writing. as well as sweeping New Zealand landscapes and wonderfully choreographed fight scenes. But at the heart of this show is a beautiful and epic romance between our 2 main characters, Richard and Kahlan. They are forced apart by powers beyond their control, and have a love that rivals that of Romeo and Juliet!
Anyway, When I started watching it was halfway through it's second season, the season finale was the same night as Lost's series finale... needless to say it was a busy night of TV watching for me
Ok so now for the point of this thread. Just before the last episode was aired, the company that broadcasts the show backed out of a third season. now the show is still not canceled and all of the contracts are still in place, but this may not last long if awareness isn't spread about this great show!!!
I am currently part of a project called "Save Our Seeker" which concentrates on spreading the word about this amazing show. we have raised over $20,000 to place advertisements in magazines, and donate season 1 DVDs to libraries so everyone can enjoy "Legend of the Seeker". We have also been flooding every broadcasting company that we can thinking of with letters to pick up "Legend of the Seeker" for a third season. (which we have actually gotten a lot of notice for
Now of corse I don't want you guys to join this mass effort, because you've probably never seen this show. my main goal with this post is to get as many people as possible to watch this show
You can get Season 1 on DVD online and at most large stores that sell DVDs. as well as rent it on Netflicks!!
I would encourage any one who loves movies like The Lord of the Rings (as this show is also shot in New Zealand) A Knight's Tale or The Chronicles of Narnia.
This show is an action adventure show and I'm sure you would all love it if you gave it the chance
