Okay, I haven't listened to ALL the official podcasts or read every article (call me undedicated LOL) but I was wondering if anyone knows of any mentions or significances of Jack's tattoos not addressed on the show?
Also the other day I decided I wanted to get my first tattoo. I want to get something on my ankle that resembles a bracelet, only...on the ankle..haha but I want to get it LOST related, I just don't know what yet. I don't want it to be thick, as I want it to look like a bracelet, but I was hoping some of you could give me some ideas. One person I know suggested a palm tree that was horizontal around my ankle, while another said I should get WAAAAAAAAAAAALTTTT hahahaha but I want it to be very specific and yet very simple. Any ideas?
Oh, also, in regards to Jack's tattoos, were they all real? Like Fox's tattoos and they just didn't cover them? or were some added?

All of Jack's tattoos are Matthew Fox's.
He's got quite a few all on his left arm (front shoulder and then quite a bit underneath onto the forearm...you don't see that stuff much). He also has one on his back.
He recently seems to have gotten something like a jolly roger on his right forearm that WAS covered up on the show. I guess because on the Island, there's no way he could have gotten it done.

I was thinking if some of the tattoos were for LOST it'd be pretty cool to match them, but since they're Foxy tattoos, that'd be creepy...and not have the same meaning..haha

You should get the polar bear mascot logo from LOST University. Or a DHARMA logo from your favorite station or job.

ideas for your tattoo:
The Numbers going all the way around.
the long tail of a smoke monster. obviously would require at least one area bigger with the bulk of the monster.
a long runway with a small plane on it that says 815.
a long "ocean horizon" with a bunch of small stylized icons on it: the island, the freighter, 815, etc.

another idea i had was some sort of linear "compass" all the way around. number them to 359, and of course make The Numbers stand out. this would make more sense if you could just do a timeline instead, but i think the compass idea is cooler.

I got a tattoo and not only do I not want another one, but I wish I had never gotten it. I don't hate the tattoo itself, or it's placement (and it's small--dime-sized), but I just regret getting it. So be sure to get it small, in a discrete place, and make sure it's something you can enjoy forever. I just wish my skin wasn't tainted :/

^ that's the one thing I'm kinda nervous about, I have pretty sensitive skin...plus I hate needles...haha
