I get all the people at the church are dead and have died at different times and that time is irrelevant. How does the baby play into this (if it is Aaron) as we to assume this baby is dead??

That is one thing that I thought was strange. As far as we know, Aaron was alive until at least the age of ~3, so why would a baby version of him be there?
Perhaps the baby is "fictional," just as was David.

It's what brought Charlie and Claire together. It is there moment of being with each other.

Was Richard in the church? I saw him on the plane leaving the island... Maybe he is in Ben's situation?

I think Richard would be with his wife, and other people from the 1800s.

The church scene really centered around Jack in a very The Five People You Meet in Heaven kind of way. The people there were those most central to Jack and his Island experience. That might be why people Jack didn't relate to as much...such as Richard or Miles...weren't there.
Aaron would be an infant as his birth awoke Claire and Charlie. Otherwise, yeah, I'd say he was as dead as David was ever really alive. Just an illusion.
