Jin??

Ok maybe a long shot here.

We never knew who was the candidate between Sun and Jin.
Jin decided to stay with sun and therefore sacrifice himself to be with her.

What if Jin is the candidate!!! A candidate can't kill themself, so maybe just maybe Jin is still alive! We never see his body just their hands seperate, so I don't know how but maybe he survived??

my guess is that maybe Jin's head is in an airpocket. maybe the water hadn't fully engulfed him yet, and the sub could have been tilted. we ONLY see his hands, and he lets go off Sun because he's shocked by her death.

In general, I am very surprised that neither Jin nor Sun thought about giving up on Ji Yeon and instead agreed to die together.

So i think Jin was really just "waiting" with Sun as long as he could, and then would hope he could still escape.

I do think this is a longshot, but would be a crazy surprise if Jin showed up out of nowhere in the Finale to save the day or play some big part. We all SAW him explode on the Freighter, so why not!

The only thing that makes me think it is possible for Jin to survive is they made a point to show their hands separate but only shows Sun's head falling down. If I had to bet, I would say Jin is dead but I can't say I would be completely surprised

Honestly, I loved their characters, but for Jin to be alive still completely ruins that moment.

Now you hav me wondering, After it showed their supposable death in the sub , it went to a flash sideways showing Jin at the hospital with white roses going to suns room, i wonder if when he arrives to the room finds that she has died which supports the fact that Jin could still be alive. Although in the alt reality Boone, Charlie and many others are dead and have been seen in this alt reality . I guess we have to be hopefully that they go on in the alt reality!
