One thing that I find pretty funny is that Jack was supposed to die in the Pilot episode and originally Kate's character was meant to be the leader. Think of how different the show would be right now...

That is funny, Ben's character was only meant to last for five episodes. Think how different the show would be without him.

There still would have been a Ben, though. Henry Gale just wasn't necessarily going to be him.

But ben would not have been Michael Emerson. Can't imagine anyone else playing the part of Ben
