Maybe Scottish people are just really lucky, like Irish Leprechauns and MIL made a magical wish with his Desmond toss. Plus, Penny wasn't on hand....

Richard came to Jacob to kill him! Desmond had no intent of killing MIL. Or at any rate, no weapon to do it with!

But how did Jacob know he was going to do him harm? and we don't know that Desmond was not going to harm MIL. I have about 300+ e-mails that say Desmond mission was to destroy MIL.

Weeeeeell, if we go by your theory subscription of MIL and Jacob being the same person...then Jacob knew because it was he himself who sent Richard to kill...himself. We have yet to see Desmond take a mission from anyone, let alone Jacob.
And Richard came with a knife that was drawn and ready for the kill. Desmond just walked about with a smile on his face.
And emails are emails~ A theory being popular doesn't make it correct!

Hence why I added the word "subscription"!  Even if there was a chance Richard was just hunting boar, there's still more reason for Jacob to defend himself than there was for MIL to carry on a conversation for quite some time with Desmond only to then throw him down a well. MIL had 0 reason to suspect foul play on Desmond's part. At least Jacob saw a knife. I hope we learn the real deal soon! |
