I thought it was great over here in Canada! I hope they don't delete the scene where Vincent turns into the Hurley Bird for the American showing.... Enjoy

Kind of figured that's why Libby was in the institute (desmonds previous encounter with her). But is illana blowing up the reason she's all bandaged when Jacob goes for her help? It'd be a big loop though. Thoughts?

Rude Hurley is fun! He's like a happy Jack, both are so rare.

i got the feeling that Ilana was done-for, too late to bring her back in the story...the origal Losties will have to save themselves [plus they've got super-Desmond now anyway}

I get she's dead but why show her all bandaged up when Jacob goes to her and then show us she dies in a firery blast.
And what does trying to kill Locke in Alt do to smoke locke? Or is it showing what desmond will eventually do on the island.
Lockes eye looked a lot like when he arrived on the island. So maybe that's how desmond gets him to see the "truth." hate to correct myself midthought but just came up with something else. Desmond tells Locke that it's his fault for crashing their plan. Locke gets that same feeling after he's hit by desmonds car. I have a hunch that Locke remembers and gets to the hospital, with you guessed it, Jack tending him. And then in both timelines we see Locke trying to convince Jack to be the "last recruit."

I think Desmond hit Locke just like Charlie had Desmond's car crash into the water. He's going for the near-death trigger.
I don't get the whispers. Whenever we've heard them, the Others or an Other showed up directly afterward. Now that was all a red herring? It's really just dead people? Even with wet Walt?

There's no earthly way of knowing Which direction we are going There's no knowing where we're rowing Or which way the river's flowing Is it raining? Is it snowing? Is a hurricane a-blowing? Not a speck of light is showing So the danger must be growing Are the fires of Hell a-glowing? Is the grisly reaper mowing? Yes! The danger must be growing For the rowers keep on rowing And they're certainly not showing Any signs that they are slowing!!!

At least Sun and Jin are reunited!!!! Dude, that's been left for too long, but they didn't do anything with it. That pissed me off, a bit.

Anybody get a bit scared in the opening that we were hearing a Hugo eulogy? I was freaking out.. but is this a hint at what the Sideways is?
This episode really felt like the end is near. The stories are coming to an end, and especially with the Sideways, we are yet again presented with a happy ending (at least for Hugo). I was trying to sit back and enjoy it, but couldn't help but feel a bit sad by this coming to a close.
well, good stuff... learned today:
1) Lil'Red Bloody Boy is growing up... and taunting unLocke... further proof its Jacob?
2) Whispers are the Ghosts.. People who have died on the island and are stuck there for their wrongs.. is it Hell? is Christian really just one of these Ghosts, completely unrelated to Jacob/MIB, and just stuck their for his wrongs? Having the whispers and Michael show up were presented way to easily, and didn't quite match the behavior we've seen before regarding The Whispers being connected to The Others.. i'm gonna say right now we're being misdirected. Specifically, somehow i got a Smokey vibe tonight about The Whispers and Michael. Not sure how this could be, but it did lead The Candidates to Smokey as he predicted.
3) The producers stopped caring about trying to make Hawaii look like LA. They've done an inventive and great job so far, but man, that beach scene really killed it for me.
4) Where is Cheech?
5) Why was Illana so stupid all of a sudden. She clearly had a death-wish tonight, and there was something really wrong about her cavalier attitude with the dynamite. Something is wrong here.
6) What was the "sachel" Hurley found on the beach? Looked sorta like the bag o' diamonds. it clearly inspired him though, as that turned him around to start leading the group.
7) Why is Island Dez just sitting back and letting unLocke have his way? He admits he isn't scared, and likely knows unLocke will try to toss him down the well. Again, something is up here.
8) Richard still seems frazzled, although I thought Hugo set him back on the path.
9) Ben is really going to take down Smokey (or at least the plane)? No way. Regardless of his change of heart, he still has something up his sleeve, and had some deal with Smokey for Protection when he was with The Others... Even if he didn't know it was unLocke until later.. He's definitely playing the inside-man here.
10) If there are these wells that everyone dug all over, and nobody found anything, what does that mean? Obviously we saw a well where the Donkey Wheel was, so something was found there. And the explanation finally could explain how someone found that cavern. But again, unLocke claimed that no one found anything while digging? Sounds like a lie to me.
11) Dez runs over Locke. Is this to jar his memory? or to "attack" MIL ?
12) unLocke was patiently waiting for the Candidates, and of course they show up. Why didn't he send Sayid after Jin, but went after Dez (or whatever was in the sub) instead? Is this confirmation that Sun is the true Kwon candidate? I really don't think so, as there's too much stacked against Sun to be the candidate (didn't time travel, etc). Even unLocke didn't know which Kwon, so it still doesn't make sense not to go after Jin.
.. and of course Kudos to Jorge for his brilliant acting and emotion yet again tonight.

my brother pointed out that the ABC promo for next week featured the voices/song/quotes from the movie Willy Wonka and Chocolate Factory in the background (the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder based on the novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). Can anyone confirm that? Maybe I should wait for Lostpedia
