i've been throwing this one around that hurley has been talking to the "sideways" losties, etc and not ghosts.  (the first thing people have said to me is that jacob is dead... but i dont really think he is) |

Interesting question - since those we have thought to be dead are now alive in the "sideways" story.
But I think he is seeing the dead because - 1) he can see the dead and 2) what will set things right hasn't happened yet - meaning that the dead are still dead on the island.
The LOSTies tried it with Jughead at the Swan but that didn't work (IMHO) - so there will be a 2nd attempt to set things right - either after "The War" or as part of it - that will work and the result of that is what we're seeing in the "sideways story" (again IMHO) - including sending most of the LOSTies back to a point in their lives before they met Jacob earlier in their lives (pre flight 815) (no Jacob - no call to the island) and those who didn't meet him until after their return (Sayid, Hurley) will be sent back to times in ther lives that could be considered forks in their particular life roads.
Really got off on a tangent there.
Just a thought.

Interesting idea but Ricardo's wife Isabella would be dead for 100 years I had thought since isabel had loved richard and had firgured out how to see "beyond" like charlie did when he showed desmond in the car crash... Love can stand the test of time ;D |

Ha Ha I like the way you think. During the Flash Forwards Hurley kept seeing Charley and even played chess with Eko. We may even think that Hurley's "made up friend" - Dave could also have been a deceased person.
