Seeing Keemee getting killed off island, much the same way he did on island, reminds me of what Mrs. Hawking told Desmond, “the universe has a way of course correcting.” Which is why Desmond could not keep saving Charlie. However Daniel Faraday believes you can change it? My question, will the people in the lateral flashes eventually meet the same fate they reached before they detonated Jughead?

I've wondered that too. But Keamy died a few months earlier in the sideways than he did on the Island, so it's somewhat tough to say.
I also sorta hope not because it'd mean Charlie, Juliet, Faraday...they'd all have to die again. That's double the sad!

I don't think that what happened/happens in one time line would effect the other. I believe that once the timeline split anything can happen in either one. Like Jack having a kid. Some how the two timelines must intersect somehow or I feel that the sideways time line would be worthless.

Paraphrasing Faraday: "Everything is a constant, people can be variables"
If thats the case, the people themselves could change, but the overall outcome is similar, since time has a way of correcting itself.
Note that Liam is looking for Charlie, trying to find any info at all. I suspect Charlie died in jail or something worse.
Just an off the wall idea that popped up reading spinaltumor's reply.
Of course that would indeed mean that Sideways-lock will have to die somehow yet. Jack will eventually lose it all, Charlotte's gotta die, etc.

Daniel said people can be variables and change their destiny. In the sideways, the Island is under water, so it can never be their destiny to crash there in the sideways timeline. Their fates belong solely to them. We can't be sure those who died on the Island will die prematurely in the sideways as well until one of them does.
Keamy died, but he died on the Island. And he died in the sideways 3 months earlier then he did in the Island timeline.
