All the other losties appear in the flash sideway because they explosion would have made their future reality change--so they never went to the island in the first place. Easy enough.
But why is Ben in the flash sideways? He was on the island as a child and when it blew up. Shouldn't he and his dad have died at that point in time?
Maybe this question has come up already. If so, sorry for the repeat.

Locke wasn't in the explosion, but he had a sideways.
The sideways show what everyone on Lost's lives would be like if the Island and its influences never got to them after 1977 or thereabout. It's possible Ben and Roger were evacuated from the Island in the sideways timeline.

Just a theory...
The island itself is a fixed point in time, changing it in once place, changes it everywhere. (That is why time travel causes it to disappear instead of just be different) The Island can only exist at one time at one point.
Destroying the island sent a ripple effect thought time and space, (hence the characters having different lives BEFORE the plane WOULD have crashed) the Island was not only absent from 1977-2004+ but the Island was sunk in all times all together, their never was an island so Ben never went there.
