I think it was in LA X when fake Locke tore off a piece of fabric from what looked like a throw-rug on the floor of the statue home of Jacob. What was that? Was it actually the fabric of time? Does that signify he won a particular stage of the game? Is it the same thing that we saw Jacob weaving in the season 5 finale?

I honestly think he just wanted to wipe off his knife while also purposely showing disrespect for Jacob's things, but that's just me.

The rug and Jacob's tapestry are two different things (confirmed by Lostpedia). The tapestry ended up with a corner cut off, and we later saw that corner pinned to Jacob's cabin with a knife. The rug is also woven, so maybe Jacob did it, but we didn't see that happen. The fact that Flocke cuts off a piece just like the tapestry seems a bit much of a coincidence.

You can see the tapestry piece missing in LA X when Ben and MIL are talking in the statue, even.
