Shen Ring

Just thought I would let you guys know. The symbol on the wall we have seen Hurley and Allana use to access the secret passage out of the temple is known as The Shen Ring. It is an ancient egyptian symbol that has various meaning. One of the main meaning of this symbol is generally protection, or protection surrounded by chaos. Another meaning is eternity, or eternal protection. This of course only the symbolic meaning. The numerical meaning is forever, or eternity, kind of like infinity in mathematical terms.

Just thought I would let you all know this. It seems rather obvious as this is what the secret passage does, protect them, but I think it is interesting.

One of the other symbols on the Temple wall near that one says something like "Lord of Eternity" as well, I think.

There were symbols along the top of the inside of the lighthouse as well. I couldn't get a clear picture of all of them, but they looked like the same ones that were on the timer when the button wasn't pushed - the feather & the bird were the only ones I caught.
