Lost has its share of tragic figures... Obviously there's Locke and his whole losing-a-kidney and almost being paralyzed by his dad thing. But there's also Sawyer with his parents' death. Sayid with his Nadia saga. Charlie and his drugs (basically because of his brother) and his death. Boone's death because of Locke. Faraday being killed by his own mother. Etc., etc. So I am curious as who, in order, you would consider to be the most tragic figures in Lost....

I think we need to know their ends before we can judge. But if Juliette is really dead, then I vote for Juliette.

At this point Locke is the forerunner, but many of the characters still have such a chance of becoming not so tragic...so it's tough to say now.

I think Anna Lucia is fairly tragic. She was shot while pregnant and lost her unborn kid. Sure she killed some Others and Shannon, but the former was in self-defense and the latter was an accident. And then gets shot by Michael. Very tragic

I agree with markedman on Juliet. I have always loved Elizabeth Mitchell, way back when she was Dr. Legaspi on ER, and I love her on V, but love her most as Juliet. Juliet really resonates with me - maybe because I am a blue eyed blonde, who has lost family members to cancer, and other things. She may not have been a season one character, but she is the one who haunts my dreams - and I think it is because of the incredible pathos EM brings to the character.
