2010 Winter Olympics

Jack , What's with the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic slamming on the Flash Forward Cast. I'm a big fan of Lost, V, and Flash forward, and I really enjoy the Podcasts you and Jay do, but I'm getting a little tired of the Winter Olympic slamming that is going on , on your Podcasts lately. I thought you worked at a ice rink and you ref hockey games and your slamming the Winter Olympics ?? What's up ?

I understand it's a long time until our shows start up again but we have waited , like a year , for Lost to start up again so a couple of months won't be so bad. As you might have guessed , I live in Vancouver B.C.

I felt the same way about the Summer Olympics. I don't like the fact that Pro's play in the games. I don't like the NBA players playing in the Summer games, and I don't like the NHL players playing in the winter games.

I know back in the day Russia, East Germany, Cuba, etc, had pro players playing in the games, but to me that's what made someone from the US winning the gold that much better, but now it's just about money and all the other crap that goes on, and I've just lost interest.

My point is, I don't know why the other networks are not going head to head with the winter games, it didn't stop them from going against the World Series.


I'm being honest, I'll watch down hill skiing, bob sledding, but for the most part I won't be watching.

Good points , the NHL is talking about pulling out of the next Olympics ( in Russia ) but I'm sure someone will offer them a bunch of money to stay.

I guess the ratings are pretty high for the Olympics. Some of the networks are already setting up , here in Vancouver for the lead up to the Games but with PVR's they should be able to keep the T.V. schedule the same. The games are only really two weeks long but I guess it's all about making money.

I was just watching Survivor : Samoa , did they just say Survivor 20 starts Feb 11 2010 ? This would mean it is going up against the Olympics.
