So Faraday thought he could change the past, save himself and save what's-her-name-the-redhead. But in the end, did it just fail? Or was his dying part of his plan the whole time? At the time I thought he was behaving ridiculously and almost forcing Eloise to kill him, but D&C made it seem like it was just him panicking. I'm remaining tightly spoiler free, so I don't want this answered, but I wonder just how much Faraday shows up in Season 6.

I can't imagine Faraday planned to be shot and killed as then he probably wouldn't have done that whole "You knew..." thing with his mom, and he also would have probably more properly explained to Jack and Kate what needed to be done. Plus, would did killing himself do to help anything? Was it really the only way to convince Eloise to help?

I can't decide which would be more satisfying plotwise. I guess his bizarre behavior where he ran into an armed camp waving a gun just seemed so off the wall, I hate to think he didn't plan it.

I don't necessarily think he was dead wrong. But maybe he just didn't think everything through all the way....
